It is a low-budget event; it's citizen level racing. That keeps the cost to the racer down. This is all done with private money and some schwag from sponsors. Not a penny comes from any municipal source. And, while Lindsay Park will not become a mecca for cx, it does introduce the sport to bystanders who would never have known cx even exists. And most of the local riders seem to enjoy the course.
