well, parts of the Bible ARE figurative: for example "this is my body" . . . . but the thing is WHICH parts are to be taken literally? Clearly Graham has denied the Bible as word of God, but to react and say all must be taken literally is a mistake. the bible should not be taken literally, but PLAINLY - let it speak plainly with context determining whether this is literal or figurative.

When the Bible talks about 'wide' being the path to destruction, it is talking about people trying to reach God through many other religions. When it talks about a 'narrow' way it is talking about there being only one way to God with that being through Jesus. The world thinks the 'wide' way is living a life of looseness and sin but that is not what it is talking about. And some think the 'narrow' way is living a righteous life which is not possible to do by anyone. That's why we need Jesus.

I absolutely desagree with Helmuthoorn. As the church of God, we can not agree this kind of behaviors. Isn't he denying Jesus? He is saying that Jesus is not the only way, and He is not the only one mediator. Who agrees this, is not christian, and forguive my words, but if you do this, so you aren't too.
If you say that Jesus is not the only way, when Jesus has said that He is the only way, and when you say that the way to heaven is wide, when Jesus said the way to heaven is narrow, and when you say that not all the words of scripture are true, when Jesus is the Word made flesh, and this His words will last forever, you have denied Jesus.

I would need to hear more of what Billy Graham preaches today & believes today to make a definitive judgement on if he has fallen away from Jesus. However the bible makes it clear that even if an angel from heaven preaches a different gospel other than the incomparable Lord Jesus Christ who lived a sinless life, paid the penalty for our sins as only God Himself can do & historically rose from the dead, then we are to turn away from such a false gospel.

First of all, help me understand where he denounces Christ or says that Christ is not the only way. Listen carefully to what he is saying. Why do our feet rush to accusation? I am very dissapointed. NOT that the Lord never warned that before the end "there will be a Great Falling Away." He also said the FIRST shall be the LAST and the last,the FIRST. When I heard Billy Graham Say he would be content staying in a tent in Heaven instead of a Mansion as the Lord promised. I saw "Hypocritical humility" Eternity is for EVER and EVER. I stopped listening to him, even before these Apostacy started showing-up. Salvation comes from No one else BUT THROUGH JESUS Acts 4:12.

Everyone has a calling, If someone in africa never heard the gospel but knows bowing down too their god is wrong and they know there is a better way and that there is a higher (God). well, parts of the Bible ARE figurative: for example "this is my body" . . . . but the thing is WHICH parts are to be taken literally? Clearly Graham has denied the Bible as word of God, but to react and say all must be taken literally is a mistake. the bible should not be taken literally, but PLAINLY - let it speak plainly with context determining whether this is literal or figurative.

When the Bible talks about 'wide' being the path to destruction, it is talking about people trying to reach God through many other religions. When it talks about a 'narrow' way it is talking about there being only one way to God with that being through Jesus. The world thinks the 'wide' way is living a life of looseness and sin but that is not what it is talking about. And some think the 'narrow' way is living a righteous life which is not possible to do by anyone. That's why we need Jesus.

What I do see that we are to test all things, and hold on to that which is good. That we are to test as the Bereans and that is continuous by the way. When he was interviewed on British TV by Terry Wogan in 1989 he stuck with the Bible when Jesus said 'I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE' 'NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT BY ME'. How foolish, (forgive me for saying) would Jesus have been to allow Himself to be tortured, have His hands & feet nailed to a cross, be rejected by His own people & allow the wrath of God to punish Him for sins He did not commit (our sins), if there was some other way to be saved.

Jesus taught we must repent of our sins & trust in, adhere to, rely on & depend on God's one & only Son Jesus Christ & His finished work on the cross & His resurrection in order receive forgiveness of sins & everlasting life. There is no other way. In the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus prayed to remove this cup from Him if there be any other way for people to be saved-

Sorry - continued: However the most devout follower of Jesus is capable of falling into error if, like Jesus said, we want to be popular with the people & if we desire the praise of people more than the praise of God. Or if we fear people people more than we fear what God thinks of us. Let us guard our hearts that we would remain true to the one who purchased our souls from hell & the devil with the cost of His own blood!

I would need to hear more of what Billy Graham preaches today & believes today to make a definitive judgement on if he has fallen away from Jesus. However the bible makes it clear that even if an angel from heaven preaches a different gospel other than the incomparable Lord Jesus Christ who lived a sinless life, paid the penalty for our sins as only God Himself can do & historically rose from the dead, then we are to turn away from such a false gospel.

Beware of False Prophets such as Billy Graham who are leading people to hell. He as well as other False Prophets are deceitfully diverting peoples trust away from the Word of God and by doing so are themselves on their way to hell. What do False Prophets do, they destroy souls, and they themselves will be destroyed.(2 Peter 2:3) Ask God to expose these wicked prophets with his Word and ask for gifts of the Spirit such as Spiritual Discernment to reveal these things to your heart!

First of all, help me understand where he denounces Christ or says that Christ is not the only way. Listen carefully to what he is saying. Why do our feet rush to accusation? Do we lack faith in God's will? Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen

very sad. I was saved under HIs ministry when I was five years of age - I wouldn't have gotten saved if he was preaching now. Yes people change but the WORD OF GOD DOSN"T CHANGE - Jesus is the same today and yesterday.
There is only one way to Heaven/eternity and that is through JESUS CHRIST !! Sad! Sad!

Yeah Billy Graham, John Hagee, Jack Van Impe, Tim Lahaye, Joel Osteen.. etc. When will people start to see that the Bible should be our guidance, not Mult-Millionaire preachers who water down their messages to attract worldly people. When will people listen to what the Bible says and start to TEST EVERY SPIRIT. Wolves in Sheeps wool will pop up everywhere.

Come on, people change over time. Is that really to hard to believe. As we learn more things our view will change. It's really that simple. He went from being a fundi to a bit more liberal. It doesn't mean that he wasn't a fundi in the first place. Billy Gram expanded a bit just maybe a bit beyond the mind of dogmatic religion. I know many Christians will hate this comment so fire away with the thumbs down. I don't care. : )

Billy Graham is preaching Universalism, how this man who once give such fiery sermons has deviated so much from the faith is beyond me. He makes no mention of the consequences of denying the Savior that leads to eternal damnation. I pray that those who are being deceived are given Spiritual Gifts, such as Discernment, Spiritual Wisdom and Spiritual Knowledge so they may not be mislead by these charlatans. Praise be to God and may God Strongly Rebuke these False Teachers! Amen

I am very dissapointed. NOT that the Lord never warned that before the end "there will be a Great Falling Away." He also said the FIRST shall be the LAST and the last,the FIRST. When I heard Billy Graham Say he would be content staying in a tent in Heaven instead of a Mansion as the Lord promised. I saw "Hypocritical humility" Eternity is for EVER and EVER. I stopped listening to him, even before these Apostacy started showing-up. Salvation comes from No one else BUT THROUGH JESUS Acts 4:12.

his mother is very upset at this fiasco.
ol billy,,made millions off the bible,,very wealthy man..and Christ died in poverty.

Many are called through out the world but few will fallow. Everyone has a calling, If someone in africa never heard the gospel but knows bowing down too their god is wrong and they know there is a better way and that there is a higher (God). And that they turn from sin that they are saved, that could be there only hope, without seeing a bible or a missionary.
