  • ELVIS IS SOOOO CUTE :3

  • Elvis is a LEGEND..KING OF ROCK N ROLL..bieber is a lil kid..lol

  • if she doesnt like rocking music dont know why she would go with elvis lol

  • how can those dipshits sit there and not move to this classic tune?

  • A BEAUTIFUL PICTURE BY THE GREATEST SINGER AND DANCING THAT WAS GODS GREEN EARTH!!

  • unforgetable and unbeatable

    anyone disagree?

  • great song and great performance, yet you can see that only a year and a half at the top, Elvis was already doing a sort of parody or stylized version of the "moves" that had made him famous. No more wildness. He would continue that the rest of his career, with the exception of the first year in Vegas, in my opinion. He rarely ever "let loose" the Inner Rocker again!

  • he will always be here withus,God willing

  • Elvis you are the King for ever!!!!!

  • Elvis actually played bass on this. Bill Black is shown here with his stand up acoustic, but the track has electric bass which Elvis played in the studio with the rest of the band, then added his vocal track after, which he did very rarely especially in the 50s.

  • was this not originally done by buddy holly?

  • @roseandstem No.

  • @roseandstem why don't you google it before asking stupid questions? would look you less than an assshole than you are

  • @qqsomething I'm sorry I did not mean to upset you

  • @roseandstem If there's one to apologize it's me for calling you names, it was very rude on my part, my apologizes

  • @qqsomething thank you! you made my evening!

  • @roseandstem But just to add a little info, this song written by Leiber&Stolller (probably the greatest music writers in history, and I'm including the Beatles in plot, sorry to the fab four fans) to Elvis' movie Jailhouse Rock. Buddy Holly recorded it that same year, but already a version of Elvis song.....It's incredible how many hits L&S wrote - from Hound Dog in 1953 to Stand By Me in 1961, this guys practically created RnR and Pop music......respect to them

  • 17 people do give a shit, fuck u bitchs!

  • Great Great Great.....this song sums Elvis up!!!!!!! An awesome presence in everyway!!!!!!! R.I.P.....

  • Elvis has moonwalk ...

  • Soooo wonderful 10 stars

  • still cool?????????the best artist alive or deceased...and i don't care????

  • check it out in the close ups Scotty Moore has NO sunglasses, however in the long shots he has Sun Glasses.

  • THAT WAS A VERY EXCITING ELECTRIC BASS INTRO. ALL THESE YEARS I ASSUMED IT WAS BILL, BUT I FOUND OUT RECENTLY, IT WAS THE KING.

WHEN IT WAS JUST SCOTTY AND BILL ON THE ROAD, IN THE MID FIFTIES, ELVIS WOULD PLAY A VERY EXCELLENT RHYTHM GUITAR THAT HAD A LOT OF TEXTURE AND THE THREE OF THEM, MANY THOUGHT WERE A MUCH LARGER BAND BECAUSE OF THE FULL, RICH, ROUNDED SOUND THEY CREATED.

DJ HAS THE LAST SAY HOWEVER ON THIS SONG. EXCEPT FOR ME, NO ONE LOVED "E" MORE THAN DOMINIC JOSEPH.

  • wwwprepaidlegalcom/hub/garyard

  • This video is a response to a Chinese version"咪當我老襯"sung by Sam Hui.

  • @thisisnelson1 not bad

  • @KwiatkowskiArtur He said that he DID THIS 54 years ago, not that he died...

  • How did elves stack his hair like that?

  • !!!! ELVIS PRESLEY WILL ALWAYS ROCK THE DANCE FLOOR, YEAH !!!!

  • You are talented and beautiful as God! I love you, Elvis!

  • @thethedeanshow a 1,000,000 to 1 disagree with you

  • The father

  • You're so square? Can anyone explain me what does it mean? Im Spanish and my English isnt good. Great song anyway!

  • @MrDani9494

    i believe it means

    serious, laid back

  • @TheDreamstreet thanks you! :)

  • @MrDani9494 It actually means 'old fashioned' 'boring' sumthin like that.

  • @MrDani9494 Being "square" means that you're dull, not trendy...

  • @MrDani9494

Being "square" means that you're dull, not trendy....

  • @MrDani9494 Square was the opposite of being kool.. you'll hear in alot of those beach movies with Frankie Avalon

  • elvis is actualy playing fender bass on this.the fender bass was new and bill black couldnt get it right and they didnt want the stand up bass sound for this song.so elvis tried it and nailed it.so any one who says elvis couldnt realy play guitar listen to this song.he played on many recordings and concerts

  • My favorite part: 1:13 - 1:22.

  • That base is to die for. Love Elvis!

  • All the singers in the '50's and early '60's were great but this was the man. Everybody followed him.

  • YEAH!!! KEEP IT ROCKIN ELVIS PRESLEY!!!

(you're so square) baby i dont care

    the best of 1957

  • miichael jackson was juhomo witnis that was gay of him now elvis was asum

  • Thanks for uploading~I love it,listened to it 4 times in a row and rocked out!!!!

  • so...cool!!!!!!

  • Elvis recorded the bass line for this tune. Bill Black couldn't find the groove and walked out of the session. Elvis picked up the bass and layed it down. The have the bass and the story on display at the Elvis Movie Museum across from Graceland.

  • He didn’t like being called King, but it was inevitable. When the urge to give struck, he was never limited. He bestowed a ten-thousand-dollar jeweled robe upon Muhammad All and a thirty-thousand-dollar ring upon Sammy Davis. Jr. “Nobody thinks of giving a rich man anything,“ he explained.

  • @chriscdc25 that's right Elvis never needed being called King or given any titles he knew his own self-importances. So like you said he hated being called King he didn't liked it and said only Christ was the King! So there you have it Elvis is Elvis, Christ and michael jackson can fight over that one! XD ..n God bless u, friend for the TRUTH! :)

  • @chriscdc25 one day Elvis was in a car showroom n saw a black lady looking at the caddilacs he went out n asked her if she likes one she said something like God knows i can't afford one Elvis took her hand n walked inside with her n bough her one ppl forget he was by far the most generous of all singers he was a great generous very hundsom man with an amazing voice n we all wished we where like him anyone who didn't like Elvis was Pure jealousy

  • @polygamous1 Elvis was a kind hearted man throughout his life. On the flight to Washington to see the president. Elvis noticed a soldier who was returning home for the Christmas holidays. Knowing firsthand how little money serviceman are paid. Elvis told his traveling companions to give the soldier all their cash. They gave him about $500, which meant Elvis and his friends had to rely on credit cards to pay for the rest of the trip.

  • love it! *replay*

  • a very cool song, i could see The Blasters remaking this.

  • the human mating dance.

  • Elvis did this almost 54 years ago, and it's still cool. Great song + superb talent = timeless classic.

  • @Hobo5280 He died 34 years ago you ignorant...

  • @Hobo5280 Its too bad we don't have music now a days that won't last 2 minutes of fame. This is back in the day when they had talent and real music. Love Elvis.

  • happy birthday elvis!!!!!!!! 1/08/11

  • @freedencevia Happy Birthday to the one and only,,,,Elvis....There will never ever be another one like him.

  • "i know why heart flips i guess its just because" : i get palpations when you are around wxy9

  • 16 people prefer Justin Bieber over Elvis....

  • How can you listen to a song like this and just SIT there?!

  • God he's so handsome. If I was living in the 50's I'd be screaming my head off.

His smile at 0:54 oooh my. *faints*

  • j'adore elvis presleyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • jajjajajja nadie baila...yo estaria vuelta locaaaaa...te amo elvis!!!!!

  • Just amazing!

  • Sexy dance.Love ELVIS!

  • @TheHoneyHeni Actually, Elvis does not like to dance. He simply moves with music.

  • @ElvisPresleyLand what?! get your facts straight, Elvis loved to dance. Especially with his family and friends. He was a very kind gentlemen....

  • @freedencevia Were you there? Elvis enjoyed friends and family, true; but dancing was not his favorite thing. He sang at piano with friends and family, seldom if ever anything he recorded. I understand facts, for several decades now.

  • This could be one of many reasons why many lives are cut too short. I know so many that claims to know GOD and many of them by their actions show no love at all. Getting back to Elvis I think that the young man was the best singer in a department alone. Another department belongs to a young man that his life was cut short MJ, the two could sing in all area's with their vocals and both were tops in acting in films. part 2

  • As a kid growing up Elvis caught my attentions as the oldies were on the radio. Not knowing how people can look at pass achievements and sometimes we can't see how GOD give us opportunities. It's what we do with them and if you notice Elvis became larger than life and never did forget to honor the Lord. Because of the temptation that's around us, we still have to make right choices and by not honoring this rule.

  • Who the heck could ever hit dislike on this?????? One of the best scenes ever!

  • @singers333 the first time i heard this song was by buddy holly then saw jailhouse rock n Knew THIS IS THE MAN GOD SEND ON EARTH TO SING FOR US its just God missed him so much He took him to heaven to sing for Him all his pre army days songs i was playing over n over but this n don't leave me now i just couldn't stop playing them got a lot of living to do was on a 10 inch LP i had to wait for it to come from the us loaned it n never got it back

  • J'adore ce film et ce passage est génial dans le film. Et en couleur encore mieux. MERCI pour ce moment magique.

  • Ray Condo? um pretty sure this is the man himself - Elvis Presley

  • My Boyfriend's got the same sweater and shoes as Elvis in this clip :D So cool! Bought them at Lansky's Memphis

  • Elvis is awsome, my fav. quote is "It isnt the tacticks hunny its the beast in me" Gawd hes great

  • @thomasmullins1 You mean ..... the writers were great.

  • @ElvisPresleyLand stop correcting everyone. Elvis was great. The writers needed him. Elvis is amazing and there will never EVER be another person like elvis.

  • @freedencevia You certainly misread, or not actually read me. Elvis Presley had anointed voice and was genius, memorized every lilne of every part in every one of his movies. That is greater than great. That is about as excellent as can be a human. Elvis Presley is more than amazing. Who prior to him, or since him, was inducted into as many Halls Of Fame as he was? Elvis Presley did not have to write. Other people asked him to record their songs.

  • @freedencevia PART TWO about your scolding me regarding Elvis Presley.

Elvis Presley did not "steal" songs from anybody as people have said.

Elvis Presley only recorded songs that his attorneys approved, after receiving signed publishing rights from original singer.

Do nto scold an oldie such as I ..... notice I wrote "oldie," not "fool."

  • @ElvisPresleyLand ok well first of all i never said elvis stole songs and i never said elvis wasnt an excellent singer. HE IS MY MOST FAVORITE SINGER OF ALL TIME. And i only commented on your comments because i was getting irritated of you correcting people.

  • @ElvisPresleyLand ...actually, all ASCAP requires is that part of the royalties to any song recorded go to the person who wrote it/whoever owns the rights to it...an artist doesn't have to get permission to record it. Elvis could record any song he saw fit...it's always been that way.

Do you think all those singer/songwriters WANTED to get upstaged with their own songs by Elvis...?

  • so humble and so talented. No other voice as yet has been as good.

  • If anyone is interested in hearing Elvis sing another version of this classic. I have uploaded videos of Elvis remakes that I produced and pitched to Sony. I was told they were interested and couldn't do anything until 2011 so I held on to the songs and waited. Now I find out Sony is releasing their own remake album, so I thought I'd finally share mine with the world.

If you don't like "modern" music, are not openminded, or have ever said, "my Elvis" then you probably won't like it.

  • @elvisxshow HOW DO I GET HOLD OF YOUR VIDEOS FROM MARGARET-PORTER@SKY.COM

  • THE KING

  • Always found this funny - you'll notice that Scotty Moore is wearing shades in the shots filmed farther away. Obviously done over multiple takes

A knuckle rap for the editing continuity guy!

An iconic image/set all the same.

  • Elvis the legend :D

  • Haven't heard this one for years!

  • reminds me of oasis stand by me live by the pool haha

  • the acceptable face of white fifties america.Elvis was a fraud.

  • @locsman the whole world is a fraud, or a joke - says the whining one... so have a seat, send the pop corn and have the strength to enjoy :)

  • @hybridlio :-) .most sense i heard for a long time.

  • one of my favorite elvis tunes along with little sister, all shook up,and treat me nice. love how this song begins and ends with the bass runs.very innovative. it puts you on notice your about to be rocked!!! so raw so real!!!

  • A real performer..........Unlike the crap nowadays....LONG LIVE THE KING

  • @LEEMC41 You are so right hun, People can still sing to Elvis music, I wonder what they will be singing of todays music in another 50 years........nothing because it all sounds similar and we can`t tell half of what they are singing.,

  • This is a totally hip song. Hats off to Elvis, his musicians, and last but surely not least, Leiber & Stoller. Wow, those guys can write a tune.

  • Elvis I love you

  • Pourquoi n'est-il pas aussi "dénudé" que l'assistance??? lol

Cette question me taraudera toujours !!!

  • @RockabillyStallion14

Yep, Woodstock, Jerry lee Lewis, "THE PILL!!!!", Brenda Lee, and the Beatles!

  • El just liked to have fun with the music, like Michael Jackson. He was a great natural dancer.

  • Comment removed

  • that bass intro was bad ass! so ahead of it's time! But that's why they call him "The King"!

  • @elvispresley11 according to the book Last Train To Memphis, Bill Black had just started playing Electric bass and was having difficulty getting the opening bass line bown, got mad, slammed the bass down and walked out of the studio...Elvis for some reason thought it was funny, so he picked up Bill's bass and played the intro himself

  • why couldn't God let this man live FOREVER.........

  • @RONALD511 Because if someone wants to live forever one has to become a god him or herself, that's why gods live forever and humans don't, however some people might reincarnate and get another chance after dying anyway depending on their situation. In any case Elvis was great.

  • @RONALD511

Actually this is exactly what God did to Elvis!

  • @RONALD511 This man IS God.

  • @melkiemelkie Elvis believed in God.

  • @melkiemelkie God is God, Elvis is Elvis but ur right Elvis was close to God and trying to get even closer to God! :) God bless u friend because you too can do the same! This is what we all must do! :)

  • @RONALD511 but he does :)
