And than on of the democratic principles is inverted: you are guilty until you prove your innocence.
I agree. Some American companies use the "always right" case in dealing with foreign companies. But I also think that they feel they are always right against their American competitors as well, it's just the competitive nature of the market.

It's different to other countries. In every other country it's normal if you see the national flag drawn up on your neigbours house. In Germany the people are feared to show national symbols. I do know many people that do not travel abroad because they are ashamed to be Germans.
Forgive me if I'm wrong but Americans love their country and it is always hard to accept criticism to something you love.

The US has not been around for 500 years, but since 1776. Since then there has been the American War of Independence, the War of 1812, The Mexican-American War 1846-48, The US Civil War, the war with the plains Indians in the 1880's, Spanish American War, WW1, WW2, Korean War, Vietnam, First Gulf War, Second Gulf War.......
That's a lot, but not close to 300 my friend.

Why is it 1st and 2nd Gulfwar? Are these wars special because U.S.-Troops are involved? What about Iraq-Iran War 1980-1988? In German it's 1st, 2nd and 3rd Gulfwar. Just fyi.

some of this is kind of funny; he says the "average" American mindset is naive, which I will not agree or disagree with. I do not have a problem with this, and I see some truth in it, as long as he makes fun of his own government and others some as well, and not just mine. All in all, people shouldn't take this too seriously and get offended.

oh, you must have seen one of those polls that say "only 67.8% of Americans know the capital of so and so", right? I honestly do not pay attention to those polls or surveys, but if they are true, my fellow americans who believe that Hitler or Kaiser Wilhelm II is the head of Germany are as dumb as rocks.
I do not know who they test in those surveys, maybe 3 year olds or lab mice or something.
And not to be rude or anything, but how is the Budweiser comment relevant?

It is relevant if you see the message: they make you believe that something is true which is not. And American companies are always right in cases against foreign companies.Another example: treating people like criminals by taking your fingerprint and DNA for your passport. Politicians overestimate dangers and play with people's fear until they agree to their overestimated security action. And than on of the democratic principles is inverted: you are guilty until you prove your innocence.

I agree. Some American companies use the "always right" case in dealing with foreign companies. But I also think that they feel they are always right against their American competitors as well, it's just the competitive nature of the market.

I definately agree with you that politicians overestimate dangers and play with people's fear---that's why citizens should become informed and/or stay informed against politicians like these (like almost all of them in this country). I totally agree with you on that

Every nation has bright and a dark history. You have to face both sides. Mistakes are made, but now you can change something. Americans are dying now because your government is telling lies. Only the poor are dying, not the ones that made the decisions. Don´t believe me, don´t think the way I think. JUST THINK FOR YOURSELF!

I am not a political analyst nor an expert in international politics, so my question may sound naive to you, but here it is anyway: How come U.S. and Britain have the right to nuclear capabilities while Iran and Syria don not? Who or what entity made such a determination, and on what basis?

Good question. That's cause the USA is God's own country and they got the permit from Jesus himself. Europe got the permit from the USA cause Europe is their favourite lapdog.
Also Germany, for instance has the right to use nuclear energy because of Germany's immaculate history, whereas Iran is known for warmongering and terrorizing its neighbours throughout the history.

but there are some reasons to be upset because of some americans. first because of their politicians. secondly because of the attitude and bad general knowledge concerning things outside the us of some americans.
but all in all - no problem with them

there are two types of foreigners i do not like:
both judge about us without having made any experiences with us.
type 1: all germans are nazis.

you two (the last comments before me) are right. unfortunately it is true that we germans must feel ashamed beeing proud of our nation because when we do so we are always declared nazis. and of course this is wrong. but we are also able to show pride as you could have seen last year during the football world cup. we germans know about pur past better than everyone else and we do not supersede about it. how can you if you talk about it in school in nearly every subject every year?!

It's different to other countries. In every other country it's normal if you see the national flag drawn up on your neigbours house. In Germany the people are feared to show national symbols. I do know many people that do not travel abroad because they are ashamed to be Germans.
Forgive me if I'm wrong but Americans love their country and it is always hard to accept criticism to something you love.
Pispers just wants you to think about your politicians and the American world policy.

Don't you get it, soulacsurmer? Germans always think twice about being proud of their country, because of the history! European countries fought against each other serveral 100 years long. And almost every country lost a war so we know what it feels like! But Americans don't! Believe me, the Iraq war is MUCH worse than 9/11!!!

Germans like to repeat that history is past because they don't want to face the monstruosity of their history. I am however not advocating WAR. But the last people I want to lecture me are Germans. Attacks against Americans are definetely from haters, not critics.

The guy in the video above makes fun of the german people most of time the same way.
Unlike you I don't have a problem with critics, cause I support freespeech.
