  • Brilliant videos again, many thanks, you've made it seem possible for me to do this. Thanks guys!!

  • @steffydog1 Thanks for watching

  • hi sportbiketrackgear, when i put on the front and rear sprockett does the writing on the sprocketts face towards me? plz reply thanks

  • @dobsr1 It can be different for every bike. Compare the width of the sprockets and make sure the spacing from the output shaft will be the same with the new sprocket. If you need any further help feel free to call in 1-888-784-4327

  • is it ok to flip power races? or any tires with minimal tread?

  • @livewoutlimit I flip my tires all the time and have had no issues. That being said I do not guarantee this is safe practice nor do I recommend others do this. Just sharing what I do on my own motorcycle

  • @Sportbiketrackgear thanks for the reply. i love stg.com and the videos as well. i'll be doing f&r sprocket and chain change this winter. this video is def going to help me out! i know this isn't a forum, but do you prefer driven kit over renthal? i got power races from you guys for awesome price. when am i gonna get some deals like that again?

  • @livewoutlimit Look for somerace tire deals soon. As far as the chain kit both Renthal and Driven are solid. Renthal offers an old school, subtle subtle and Driven has several color options. Both are great quality IMO

  • I just went and priced the RK tool and most vendors had the kit at a reasonable price of 109.00 USD. However, JC Whitney had the RK brand kit at like 14.00 bucks and some other outfit had the RK tool for 9.00. That outift was indysuperbikes.

What gives? Are these the same tools? I find it hard to believe that RK is selling the same tools to different vendors for such greatly diverging prices.

  • @ShiekUrBooty You can not purchase this tool kit for $14. The site listing it for that is most likely pricing out just a single part of the kit and then when you select the whole kit in the drop down menu it adds the rest of the cost. This is done to make their price appear to be the lowest when searching the web

  • @Sportbiketrackgear

Excellent, what you're saying makes sense. Most other brand kits were in the ball park of the $109.00 price. The $109.00 is a value should you need the tool for that and as you said, a person could re-coup part of the price in a co-op situation.

  • @Sportbiketrackgear Speaking of co-ops, I'm coming up on my first 40K service on a TDW Jetta VW and am getting preped for the fluid/filter change on the DSG tranny, the shop wants 350.00 for it so I'm hunting down stuff to do it now. It requires a part with a brass plug, valve, oil can fitting and hose. Some guys are making these things out of pieces parts for 10.00, some outfits are selling them 99.00 and another outfit is RENTING the unit for 30 bucks with a 150.00 deposit. Funny.

  • Good vid for us diy riders...

  • @MrDrpepper777 That is the plan. Many of these projects are easily accomplished by most riders. We are trying to show you how we do it on our own bikes.

  • sportbiketrackgear...hands down the best! ;D

  • Thanks!!!

  • @NodnarbRS Thanks!

  • Why not just put the bike into gear to take the bolt off?

  • Two reasons; 1 the motor will most often turn over before the bolt breaks loose and 2 with the bike in gear there is a risk for internal trans damage.

  • ooo love thes how to video keep up the great work
