This is the oddest version i've ever seen of this. With the audition in the middle. Strange, I doing this now and obviously they've re-written but its not nice

Can you please stop saying these productions are terrible, they are just trying their best. take my school, rye beck, it's a regular high school, but there are so many talented people, including myself who go there. that's why our productions are amazing and we are capable of doing this production which we are doing in march. so just butt off!

Why, in God's name, do High Schools and Colleges continue to butcher this show when there are other shows, perfectly acceptable to audiences that can be done without destroying the material?

i take my other comment back. after reaching the end, i must say that the orchestra here is absolutely TERRIBLE. the way they played isn't even acceptable for a high school performace. bleh! next time HIRE SOME PROFESSIONALS ON THE LEAD PARTS!!!

ouch, orchestra was definitely mediocre. no musicality! and i dont know who the director was, but he needs to study the music more. this is supposed to be very up-tempo! It's not supposed to sound like a New Orleans Funeral Dirge.

loved the tap dancing!
also, when the girl in red, the last solo line "fourty, second, STREEEET" its suppose to be belted higher, but she harmonized lower.
also, the orchestra was mediocre
otherwise goooood dancing!

this is weird..the dance portion is the music for the audition just with an orchestra and in the 42nd street costumes....wierd

The music is actually exactly the same if you cut the "ballet" part of the number - you can tell the difference because the audition only has the piano, not the full orchestra.
