Wonderful footage. Thanks!!! One question...is there a video of the Piper-Valentine match were Piper lost the U.S belt and his ear was damaged? That match when I first saw in the summer of '83 ran chills up my spine. It made my mother mark out and she hated wrestling. Good night and thanks again.

Do you have any footage of the hat and the robe incident? That's where Mulligan and Flair had their falling out. Mulligan became the face when Flair put a $10,000.00 bounty on his head.

I think that this was from the brief feud that they had in 1978. Woods would win the US Title from Mulligan, which earned him disdain from Ric Flair. Flair would win the belt from Woods which was the catalyst of Mulligan's face turn.

Great stuff...saw this feud in Charlotte, Greensboro coliseums in mid 70's when I was a kid! One of the coolest things I ever saw was when Mr Wrestling was bleeding through the white mask. Both of these guys were the real deal...thx for posting!

This may be during the period when he unmasked to go after the World title. The NWA wouldn't let masked wrestlers compete for the title at the time. That was the catalyst for his great feud with Mr. Wrestling II.

Right, that was in Georgia. When he wrestled in Mid-Atlantic he pretty much just went back and forth when it came to wearing the mask. He didn't wear it in the Mulligan feud, but did when he and Bravo won the World Tag Title from the Andersons, and when he was briefly US champion later on.
