Sounds most similar to the story in battlestar galactica to be honest.

Where a company made robots to make life easier, they evolved to look like humans, some are programmed to think they are human, they rebelled and killed off most humans. Best show ever BTW, unless you watch the old series from the 70's or something.

Got a chance to see this being played at Eurogamer Expo yesterday and it was the nicest surprise there. Looked really smooth, some of the sequences with the larger robots were very impressive. Definitely one to keep an eye out for between now and it's release in February
