  • The problem with a gay man pretending to be straight and to live that out, is that he is fooling himself and deceiving a woman where it hurts most, emotionally. A wife has the right to a real husband, not one who is suppressing his personality and letting on he is heterosexual.

Bisexuals are another matter entirely. Although so straddle the divide, others do it only occasionally. Not a good basis for a marriage. Neither is Exodus. Remember Haggard anyone? A sad man.

  • @mattetho Logic fail. Clown.

  • @mattetho OH, LIKE THE VAGINA WAS MEANT TO PEE, BLEED AND DELIVER BABIES, RIGHT? SO THE MALE ANUS CAN PROVIDE PROSTATE ANAL PLEASURE BETWEEN MALES: DOUBLE DUTY AS A WASTE EXITE AND SEXUAL PLEASURE JUST LIKE A WOMAN'S VAGINA FUNCTIONS.

  • @mattetho homosexuality is not wrong, and has never been wrong

  • @mattetho "Homosexuality is wrong and will always be wrong. "

    just an opinion

  • @mattetho the only way you can "heal" a homosexual is by brainwashing them

  • @mattetho

They can say, they can pray, they can kneel down before a crucifix, they can genuflect before communion, they can spaz charismatically, they can sign their name at the altar call on the Billy Grahm packet, they can read the Bible over and over, they can date women, have children, marry, they can become missionaries. As time passes and sexual behavior and emotional behavior stagnates, you will find they are as gay as ever. And they go back, they just claim backsliding each time.

  • born into sin is to say no free will

  • I kept waiting for Alan to say "Honey, let me tell you...."

  • Thank you for posting these and al of the work you do to share your truth

  • @silentfades Ur welcome :-)

  • he's still as gay as a pink fur scarf

  • how can someone define their identity by their feelings? thats dumb! is like saying "My name is John and I am Anger" "oh nice to meet you Im Steve and I am sadness" I see nothing wrong to looking through your past and try to heal those wounds, there is nothing wrong with that, not even "harmful" as activists preach, there is nothing wrong on fixing your relationship with dad and god, but because you quitted and didint make it, wnt to tell other people they cant do it either bcause u R A QUITTER

  • thats why God made women that look like men.

  • Religions are inherited or accepted emotionally. Both are erroneous paths in the search for truth. Google Doe’s Account.

  • There are NO CONVERSIONS. ZER0. EXODUS=LIARS. It's that simple. And their victims are all in "wishful thinking brainwash" mode. The FACT is that +63% of the population has some degree of same gender attraction. Yeah: most people are SELECTIVELY BIsexual! As part of an explosively growing group of men called g0ys (spelled w. a zer0 --G00GLE us), we realize that what MEN want universally is to be loved & RESPECTED by other men (A goal the gAy men's movement & "Christians" fail miserably at)!

  • @g0ysorg "we realize that what MEN want universally is to be loved & RESPECTED" So say I want to come molest your children. You're going to respect what I want, correct?

  • So he claims that he's an "Ex-Gay" yet admits he's still gay (He has same-sex attraction). This is why these programs are so damaging! They are lying to people and confusing them giving them a false hope. And what is the hope? Be straight so you can stop being a victim of spiritual hate crimes? This world is sick! Jesus, help them understand that YOU make and create us whether gay or straight...

  • @free2bfierce I think your confusing sin with temptation here. As an ex-homosexual, it is not surprising that those temptations would arise in his life. Just as a former alcoholic would have temptations about alcohol. Whats important is what you do with those thoughts. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity 'every thought' to the obedience of Christ."

  • @free2bfierce I agree. If he still says he is gay, where is the healing, deliverance, or the miracle? Two people being joined together should not be about trying to be something that you don't truly have a desire for.

  • Amen that God deliverd the Exodus Minister from His sins. God is powerful & can do all things. I am hetrosexual female & God has deliverd me from my own sins. it doesnt matter if your gay or stright following the conmendments of the Bible is extremely hard to do our flesh wants to go against the Bible we want to be able to do our own thing but if we pray and realize that we have an obligation to God to follow Him He will help us through our tempations Jesus was tempted & so will we be also

  • @Jerseygirl8999 Being tempted is one thing. Not being attracted to the opposite sex and not finding the desire to marry someone who is, is another. I went six years abstinent, studying scripture and agreeing with them, praying every day. It just helped me be abstinent. I prayed over and over for God to put His desire in me. The truth is, regardless of what changes some may experience in their walk with God, we shall not be perfected in this life.

  • i would advise to find god by YOURSELF..have your own relationship with god..follow HIS laws and read the bible.he will set you free of the evil mentality

  • We all struggle with temptations wether sexual, alcohol, gambling, food ... whatever. To overcome same sex attraction (SSA) takes hard work, sacraments, prayer, reading, therapy and talking with others like yourself and your spouse if you happen to be married and find yourself in this situation. So I see this as quite a struggle ... don't condemn anyone, but I believe help like the Courage and Exodus groups and good Christian therapists are a God send...literally.

  • God is compassionate and loves all his children the same and he doesnt discriminate against his children the way they discriminate against each other.if you are going to call yourself a christian, then you should follow his word and let him be the judge and not take it upon yourself to say that somebody is living wrong by him. If god didnt approve of someones lifestyle, he would make it known but look at all the successful gay people in the world and you tell me god isnt blessing their lives?

  • @SkyeWabbit ahh yes he does love everyone..but he does have law..we cant just RUN around doing whatever we want.god has stated homosexuality is an abomanation.PERIOD

  • I have seen a male rooster try to have sex with a male duck... animals do not know. There is a huge difference between an animal and a human. We are made in the image of God with Minds that are logical, that is to a particular degree. Animals naturally kill does this then make it morally permissible to kill?

Homosexuality is a life style choice just the same as alcoholism, obesity, or anorexia. All of which are aginst scripture.

  • Not sure what you mean by lifestyle choice. Alcoholism and obesity have strong genetic components, and anorexia is an illness. Homosexual behaviour is certainly a choice, but orientation certainly isn't.

  • The way you treat your body changes your genetics, Physiology, even your thought life changes your genetic makeup.

  • Your physiology to some extend, but nothing can change your "genetics".

Bear in mind that, for many people, sexual orientation emerges very early in life, perhaps as early as 4 or 5 years old. At that age, by definition, there is no element of conscious choice involved.

  • Also, all have had some form psychological trauma whether it was sexual abuse or class mates taunting them about their "girlish/boyish figure." And yes your genetics can be changed by thought life and exposure to curtain psychological conditions. Remember (If I am not mistaken) every 7 years with the exception of spinal fluid you have a completely new body

  • Your genetics never changes. Your cells replace themselves every few years, with new cells with identical genetic makeup.

There is no doubt the origins of homosexuality are mostly psychological and developmental. But even though people can change their behaviour, it's doubtful whether substantial and permanent change in the pattern of sexual arousal is possible - perhaps some sort of partial modification, in some people. But the term "ex-gay" is inaccurate and very misleading.

  • @VindicatedVigilante i agree m8.the more you get trapped into it and the more someone says they are *THIS* or *THAT* the more they are trapped in the sin

  • @VindicatedVigilante actually homosexuality is not like the others

in the fact no one chooses to be gay

  • Steven? Are you having a gay lifestyle now or what? im confused.

  • If being homosexual is acceptable, then being a Paedophile must surely also be acceptable, How is one persons personal preference acceptable and another's is not? What if a person's preference is to only perform in public and cannot be satisfied otherwise. Does that make preferring horses or donkeys just as acceptable, then would you want to find out that the person you are now sleeping with also sleeps with animals. Think of the consequences.

  • some ppl say that men who were to much pampered by their mother,or had a dominant mother have a bigger chance to become gay.i wouldnt know.but i know italian mums are this way and look how many gays they have in italy.or maybe they are just bi?

  • One cannot in any way 'argue' or discuss with religious people as they are basing their reasons on faith.

Unfortunately faith is not always sufficient to save them

  • It is hard to take someone serious when they say an invisible man told them to be straight.

  • it would be funny if those 2 hooked up after the show.

  • Haha! So True! U can clearly c that guy's Gay as hell. Listen to how he talks..

  • try this...study about islam it may help

  • Being gay is just a decision you make.

If you decide not to be gay you can.

You can decide to be stupid and you can decide not to be stupid.

    Gay = phycological misuse.

  • While you prove perfectly those who choose to be stupid, sexuality is not a choice. If that is the case you actively chose to be straight (I am assuming!). So it works both ways.

  • Maybe "actively chose to be straight". Like you actively choose in daily basis to fight for the good values we must preserve within ourselves in this deceptive world.

If you decide to murder, or decide to steal, to rape, commit suicide, to cheat, to be gay etc., because there is a huge amount of desire doing it, you can do so.

However, if you decide not to you can do so. It's just killing that desire. Gay desire is no difference with other desires.

It' s just about pure decision.

  • Sexual desires are very different from wanting to murder, or stealing. Suppressing these desires and these urges for sexual gratification can also be dangerous as well. You only have to look at the examples of priests, or abstinence programs which shows how little success they have because of forced celibacy, which is far from natural!

As for rape, commiting suicide and cheating there are often other reasons behind it, It isn't simply just a spare of the moment as your posts suggests!

  • You mean gays were born to be gays from the moment you are in your mothers womb? Or maybe there is a very tricky reason you can't just figure it out. Gay is a deception. You have to be very intelligent, sharp to solve this trick.

Desire as a whole is the same, but too many can be applied to. Desire for sex, money, power, fame, speed, strength, for goodness, for badness, knowledge, artistry etc.

Gay is a deception that has a wrong phycological equation. You must not apply the equation.

  • Yes I mean that being gay might possible exist while in the mothers womb. I know, personally, that I knew from an early age that I was attracted to the same-sex. It wasn't something that I just woke up and thought I'd choose. I know others who have also known this also.

I don't see how you can apply sexuality to being the same as wanting money, power, fame, etc, especially as you have been told it is not a choice to be gay. This view is backed up by scientists and PSYCHOLOGISTS.

  • How young you are then you found out?You mean when you're 2-3 years of age you found out already you are gay?

Or maybe there's something on earth you dont know triggered the gay idea. Are you open to this possibility? The world is very tricky.

As whole desire is the same. But its application can vary to alot of application.

Scientists and PSYCHOLOGISTS? Why only these two? They can be wrong. How about the others the big majority of the world? You didn't consider them?

  • I knew from an early age, yes, that I was different in my sexuality. What makes you think something else triggered it off? Such as? I am open to the possibility ut there is no evidence to prove otherwise.

You are obsessed with this desire thing, maybe its just attraction and that is something you can't choose, but is inbuilt in all of us.

As for scientists and psychologists (well done for spelling it right this time!) - they are the ones who study this and find evidence, not just assumptions!

  • pathetically lame

  • Its funny how these "ex-gays" still have a feminim voice, they are still gay, this is insane, its embarassing to watch these so-called "straight" gay mem to the gay community and just humanity in general, talk about being ashamed and brainwashed.

  • What's that strange sound in the background? It sounds like the whirring of helicopter blades.

  • talk about bias - Why did they only ask the ex gay guy about his final thought and not the gay guy, then the reporter comes to the conclusion the church should do somthing about it without compromising with gays. Just a load of fox news crap!

  • so wear a condom and use plenty of lube

  • exactly. and usually ex-gays are suffering because they aren't happy being a heterosexual (because that's not what they were meant to be). And some ex-gays weren't gay in the first place, they were bi-curious. I'm glad you posted, it lets me know there's at least ONE other sane person around :D

  • The president of Exodus International forgot to say something when he said that Jesus is the Truth and also Grace... It says in the Gospel of John 1:17:"For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ." Look: MOSES -> LAW JESUS -> GRACE AND TRUTH. The Law of Moses was a forshadowing of Christ (see Hebrews).

  • (PART 2)So, will we stick to the shadow, the Law, or go to the real thing, Grace and Truth, wich where not brought (like in Moses' case), but REALISED through Jesus Christ. He's waiting for each of us to come to Him as he/she is. Hebrews says that we can come boldly to the throne of Grace. It's about RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM and through that TRANSFORMATION,not legalistic followish of some 'christian' law.

  • (PART 3)SO, what are (some) hetrosexual christians trying to force gay christians into? The 'christian law' that all homosexuality is WRONG. If God hates a sin, and we love Him and are committed to a relationship with Him, He will change our HEARTS, not what we think we should do, and force us to do it. That is not love, that is tyrany. God is Love and Light (1 John) not a legalistic dictator.

  • (PART 4) God Loves us unconditionally. Eventhough He might not agree what we do and like. When our hearts are turned towards Him, He will convince us; our hearts will be changed. It happened in my life... (in my life, referring to lust.)

  • (PART 50 (With change I do not mean a magical 'BLING' experience, but rather a change of heart. a change of what WE think. The RELATIONSHIP is of primary importance. Just needed to set that strait)

  • yes come to him as you are, but if your really want a relationship with god, you must follow his commandments. Come to him as you are repentant, not seeking to stay in your seen. Just because something feels right, doesnt mean it its.

  • God loves you the way you are, but he will not just say 'keep on going on with your life' but he will say 'yield it to me' Homosexuality is not what he wants for us.

  • I believed you when you told me,/I had no place at God's side,/That he'd despise my very being/no matter how I tried,/And how I tried to be worthy,/to emulate his son,/Strived to be selfless and/take no pride in good I'd done,/In adulthood I've learned many things,/a few of which I'll tell,/Like, You never understood God and/NO-ONE goes to hell,/

  • Life loves each and everyone/and today I love myself,/Still I thank you for the unhappy years,/for they delivered me great wealth,/You delivered me from evil,/taught me virtue all the while,/and ultimately showed me that/ I am God's child.

  • They can't do everything, but what OTHER options are their other than one is born gay or gay behavior is learned/based on sexual disorder, it's either justified to allow gay marriage or not, etc?

  • Allow? by whom? for whose agenda? for whose satisfaction? for whose happiness? at whose expense? I don't know the etiology of homosexual orientation, but I'm not jumping to conclusions either. Frankly, why should it matter? The video wasn't about gay marriage. It was about "ex-gay" therapy, wasn't it?

  • I really loved this show. It's a shame it didn't stick around. What I find hilarious is when you have liberals who watch it and think that if a conservative christian perspective is ALLOWED a fair time, equal with a secular one, that it's biased..but when you have animalistic obnoxious liberal hosts steamrolling conservatives on their show, it's fair, riviting, and entertaining.

  • Actually, I think presenting each and every case (every last one of them) on all sides could amount to some great enlightenment for all sides. Cherry picking, though, is a turn off. Not all "conservative" perspectives are "christian."

  • So you think the drunk vagrant who believes aliens are hippies who sent the prophet Barney to mankind to tell us the ultimate truth about reality needs to be aired for people to have a balanced informative presentation?

  • I'm sticking to the subject. I was referring to all the success and failed "ex-gay" cases. You knew that, right?

  • mybig you can think whatever you like, but the question is what is true and what is false, and if it can be demonstrated that christian theism is true, wouldn't that mean all views that oppose it are false?

  • Asking more than ONE question is necessary to disclose the truth, whole truth, and nothing but the truth (whether God helps or not).

  • Given the name of the show (Faith Under Fire), it's apparent that it's slanted towards a particular faith league which I believe to be fraudulent. Also, I believe the whole "ex-gay" thing to be fraudulent practice.

  • People can believe anything they want. I think that Dominick7 is right to ask WHY you think that this person is a fraud. Do you have any direct evidence to that effect?

  • It's right for anyone to ask anything. My own thinking might contain errors. According to Alan's story, gay + jesus = exgay. I would love to see all the statistics showing success and failure with this formula. Wouldn't you?

  • I think Alan Chambers is a fraud.

  • How do you know hes a fraud? In what sense is he a fraud?

  • I didn't say "I know." I said, "I think." At this point, I don't know ALL of the relevant evidence.

  • Ok then..why do you THINK he's a fraud?

  • They did a grat job at airing both sides, yet I side with Alan. Alan's ministry is under fire a lot by gay activists who think that they have the freedom to be gay but the ones who don't want to be gay don't have the freedom to pursue a heterosexual lifestyle, I think that the homosexuals in this case are bigoted.

  • @vidhead85 I am gay, and I don't have a problem with someone saying they are happier with someone of the opposite sex. We all have freedom to choose who to share our life with.

  • @1norville Wow...I looked at this comment and it took me back to my self hating days. I do think that a lot of people who are 'ex gay' want to limit the rights of gay couples...THAT part is where I run into a problem with Alan's ministry and those like his. I also hear Exodus is in major trouble too

  • A gay person going straight HAHAHAHA? Alan chambers sounds so very very gay. He so deep in denial its funny.
