  • Since not everyone is required to wear a seatbelt police do not have the right to stop people to check whether or not they are breaking the law. see DELAWARE v. PROUSE, 440 U.S. 648 (1979)

  • @ryangille ya um DELAWARE v. PROUSE had nothing to do with the ticket law, that was being pulled over for no reason. (law . cornell .edu/supct/html/historics/USSC_CR_0440_0648_ZS . html) they can't do checkpoints thats all. if they have a law against it and they see you and pull you over for not having a seatbelt, they can. The reason they advertise it and make it a law is because of hospital reasons and education in school was using up too much money and so had to do this to cut it.

  • No "scoobydoo", it's called common sense, and the law. The moral to the story, If you don't wear tour seatbelt, and you are in a vehicle collision. You can stay in the car, or fly through the windshield. Pull your head out of your ass and realize it's for YOUR safety!

  • You have a lot of nerve preying on the misfortune of others for the self righteous sake of making yourselves money . Whats next with you greedy moron cops ? How about seat belts for motorcycles , wheel barrows or how about unicycles . You probably need the extra money to support your bureaucratic corruption .

  • ticket.
