@RebenDigita1 Thanks. I stopped playing in about 2008 I think after four good years. I had started playing WoW at the same time and the sheer fun of healing and buffing in WoW using the healbot addon made me see ffxi's system for the clunky beast it was and I had a hard time continuing. Also most of my friends in the game had moved on. I do have some other ffxi videos from the period which I may dig out since you said this.

@RebenDigita1 I gave up playing WoW now too :) Although I enjoyed it at the time I kind of regret the time I spent playing mmorpgs now. It was like a sickness with me, I mean seriously. I had no job and all I was doing all day was playing ffxi (or later, WoW). I mean seriously, like clocking up 12 to 14 hours a day, 7 days a week. My body started to deteriorate; I was worried about DVT; It was really not good for me.

i've solo'd the whole thing /thf, using sheep song/ soporific for sleeps. i did have a rdm with me, but he didn't know what he was doing and i ended up doing the entire battle myself. no healing items either

Blue Mages are insane solo'ers and are also very good jobs to have in your party.

But it has it's flaws, some of the spells are either too hard to learn like Radiant Breath (Hurricane Wyvern ; ;). Or you need to have Sky and Sea access ready for level 60.

You don't need Sea until 70+, and you don't need sky at all. The only things in sky are mobs that you can find at much lower levels in other areas that are easy to get to. :P And Radiant Breath isn't that hard if you have access to Riverne - Site #B01 (CoP 4-2 or higher. The wyverns there are only T. I got it there duoing them with a RDM.
