  • Beautiful footage of the city of Wismar.. It seems like the city has lots of history behind it. You have captured the important landmarks very well. Especially St. George church with its history behind the world wars..You have also covered the other important features of the city as well. I really liked the cobbled streets.. It was so unique. Thank you so much for your effort in showing us what you saw.

Great as always my dear :o)

  • @lmmsl Thank you very much for your wonderful comment, my dear Menu. You are so right about the history, that plagued so many cities of Europe and touched many lives and you come across with it in so many different ways and from different prospective and you can see it and hear more during the travel. I'm glad that you liked it and it is true that Wismar is a unique city in some way, so as many other cities are. I wish you a happy week ahead, my dear Menu. Love, my35Xvision.

  • I took Deutsch in school, Im far from remembering much of it. Always wanted to see the Rhine river and all the castles! Nice town here.

  • @Tstormer Thank you for comment, Pat! To my shame, I studied German too and do not remember much either. If you do not use it you loose it...:)

  • You should have seen the city in 1989. The Communists did it all let rot and going bad. It looked as if a giant had punched in the face of a beauty. No house had fresh paint and in many homes the roofs had collapsed. Like a phoenix from the ashes, my city has reinvented itself. I am so proud of your beautiful pictures.

  • @mbhsug Thank you, my friend! The story you've told me is very familiar to me in some different colors, of course. I've heard it in many cities of former communist block, like Prague, Budapest, Tallinn... I'm so happy, that you liked my video of your city. It makes me feel really happy... :)

  • In this video you are presenting the architectural ensembles of this very interesting town, at the same time paying great attention to the smallest details. Informative and beautiful.

  • A family died under the rubble. A few days later began the reconstruction. At 15:30 you show the inside of St. George. The roof was missing over many years. As children, we climbed the wooden stairs up inside the pillars. On top on the walls, we played. At 16:19 you can see where we were. We had great views over the city and the harbor. (Part 2)

  • @mbhsug Thank you so much, my dear friend, for your excellent explanation of the events at the St. George Church. Those are horrific events. I will add comments to the description field of my video and my dedication to you. I was making video with you in mind. I knew that you was born and raised in this region. Thank you for this valuable addition. I wish you very happy weekend and wonderful days after. Your friend, my35Xvision. :O)

  • In this city I grew up. There, I know every house and every stone. You have captured my old city is very beautiful. My heartfelt thanks for it. At 9:07 you are presenting the St. George Church. The church was heavy damaged in the war. The Communists ware the ruins stand and did nothing. At 10:33 you see a gable wall of this church. I think it was 1991, since this wall collapsed on a stormy night on a house. It was as loud as an explosion. (Part 1)

  • Interesting video and nice music! Thanks! :)
