cool my Josefina doll is the same exact way no tag big letters of pleasant company all that thx so much because i was wondering its seemed like such a big difference between my Josefina and Kit doll thx :)

@cak5499lovesag I'm not sure. She is a pre mattel Josefina so they may have used to make them like that. I don't know though cuz I've never seen a mattel Josefina's body.

You forgot to mention that premattel dolls face mold is different the mattel and that premattel dolls vinyl is squishier that mattel dolls are by the way hey!!!!!!! :P

@jhjjhg1 Neither doll is "better" I guess. It's mostly just personal preferance. I personally like the pre-mattel dolls better than the mattel ones because I like their features better, like their face and hair and stuff. Also the pre mattel ones are better quality. And I just grew with the pre mattel dolls.

i have a pre mattel samantha but she doesnt have neck strings. do some premattel dolls have neck strings and some dont?

@CLUBPENGUIN756 My little sisters Felicity doesn't have neckstrings but she was bought during the transition between mattel buying pleasant company so she has qualities of both mattel and pre mattel. Like my sister's Felicity has the hard eyelashes and darker hair. So I think either your doll was bought during the transition (which I think makes them mattel) or your Samantha doll was sent to the doll hospital. Because they don't put the neckstrings back in when you send them to the hospital.
