Cholera, you DO realize that Reach has been trading off Zealots for tanks and two SCVs at a time, right? I think what Reach has been doing is a form of economic attrition. Yes, those zealots are all going to die but at the same time, Mind hasn't been able to expand which means a lot to a Protoss player.
The whole time you were complaining about how his build was bad you were failing to commentate about how many scvs Reach was killing and how effectively he was harassing Mind's expansion.
I like ace matches because there's no way to know who has won. As soon as I saw you kept posting the next match in the series, I knew Reach had won :D
??Okay let me elaborate. This is what I think happened thru Reach's prediction. Reach blocks the ramp, and Mind figures Reach is prob going fast DT (1 base) or maybe reaver. Mind switches to e-bay/turrets/3-4 tanks to defend, neglecting vultures, and speedlots knock on the door. Problem is, Mind just continued to play classically, and Reach's head-fake of denying scouting didn't work.
I'm just guessing, but Pros almost never just do something for no reason. There's risk/reward.
4gate speedlots is a pretty interesting build. i think it would have been probably more effective on a map with no ramps, such as medusa, or even a map like byzantium II where the ramp leads downwards. the cross-map positions dont help his case here either, as it allows mind to muster up an adequate defense
Give him credit for trying something so unexpected. It could have worked if Mind hadnt send his Scv while the zealots were heading to the natural of minds base. That time gave him the oppurtunity to fall back to his mainramp.
I tried 4 gate speedlots, and it just so happened the opponent went two fac.
I skipped the goon in the beginning and in return I put two probes on gas until I had barely enough to put citadel and zealot leg; then I pulled probes off.
I think it works as well if the opponent is going one fac expo, but I'll have to try the build out more >_>
its quite an interesting experience watching part 1 after I already got impatient and watched part 2. I still found this quite interesting. Its kinda like watching a prequel.
kinda... except Reach's build is better than the Phantom Menace.
On an unrelated note, Wemade seems to be devoid of zergs. They've got keke, roro, and shine(kal).
Standard deviation means he could be better or worse doesn't it? I.e. more risky. Mean of distribution is more important i think, for your purposes.

You're 7 months late. Get your priorities straight.
mahouneko 2 years ago
How old are you? 5? cuz you apparently don't know what the word 'priorities' means
hbar1051027 2 years ago
*shrugs*
I responded because your comment showed up on the right side of the Youtube homepage appropriately labeled "comments."
How old I am doesn't change the fact that you bothered to respond to a 7 month old comment in the first place, dimwit. Seriously, F- off.
mahouneko 2 years ago
Well, since you responded back, clearly, the fact that your comment was seven months old was irrelevant.
And either way, what does the date matter, if i'm just in the mood for some good old insulting of someone I don't know.

Mind raped Bisu of all people 3-1 in an MSL finals
Athos90 3 years ago
that build was ridicolous
how the hell did he expect to get up the ramp?
bullbunnies 3 years ago
I agree, but I wouldn't say it's ridiculous, since he had a quick ramp block.

Yeah, I love these maps, these designers are geniuses for making new/creative/interesting/innovative play.

I think that on a different map this would have worked, but that ramp just owned those lots.

hmm even though he had 4 gates he didn't get more than 10 zealots before he attacked...what if he waited one more round of zeals?

Now that I think about it, a dropship build would just destroy the speedlot "build" xD
