I have an Umbrella and he does the same thing. Anything with a beat and he loves it. The louder, the better. They are loud and love the noise. Yes, in groups they are noisier. It's good exercise and helps with his social interaction. If the bird didn't like it he'd be screaming way louder than the music playing. Bird lovers definately know their birds personalities, likes and dislikes so jam away birdie-baby.

I've become convinced that cockatoos are naturally crazy. The pet store in our town has a cockatoo that does practically this same thing, whether it's noisy in the store or not.

....it also has a hell of an evil laugh. XD

This one looks like he's having fun to me. Birds -are- smart enough to move AWAY from noise they don't like, people. And think about it; they're USED to loud noises in the wild and in pet stores when they're surrounded by other birds.

I should know, I've had birds most of my life, and people should be worried if their bird's the exact opposite of this. Also, cockatoos are usually VERY loud, so it might be a bit difficult to hurt their ears... and he probably wouldn't be enjoying himself so much if his ears were hurting.

@eltfell When you have pet birds, you clip their wings. This isnt painful to the birds what so ever, you just clip the wings that give the birds lift. It prevents them from flying away and potentially hurting themselves. I own two birds that constantly run into windows when their wings are not clipped :(
