  • I love you Wendy Waldman!!!! I had your records in high school. I don't know what happened to them. : (

  • She is a beautiful soul and her voice just gets better with time. I wish someone would upload 'Listen To Your Own Heart' from her self-titled '75 release...

  • What an inspirational writer.

  • Saw her last night at Kulak's and she was fabulous of course......

  • I love wendy waldman and have met her twice , both times were intimate and ended up in warm hugs. She is and was always very important to me.

  • i fell in love with her music in the 70's. still am a big fan.

    thanks for the post.

  • "He was here just a minute ago where did that music come from? I could've sworn there was someone there he must' have been here and gone....." "Is he coming at all? (3X) Does anyone know where to find that selection online?

  • dont be a scrooge.. go buy the album or cd

  • SHe gets more and more beautiful!

  • Do anything you can do to find a copy of

    "Which Way to Main Street".

It is an outrageously rocking LP,with several

top notch highlights like "Time Like Your Wire Wheels", and "X Ray Eyes". It was playing on a

turntable at a store when it was issued, and I said "Who the hell is that!??", and bought it.

It is still one of my favorite LP's to date.

  • @lancitos I totally agree! I bought "Which Way to Main Street" without even knowing what the tape sounded like.It was an unmarked bootleg copy I got for ONE DOLLAR at a flea market in the the mid-eighties.I played the hell out of that cassette to the point where it wouldn't play anymore.LOVED IT!! When I saw her some years later on a video,I damn near lost it because she's a dead ringer for my high school sweetheart!!Anyhow, I'd like to get this release on CD or cassette. Any leads?

  • After finding the '95 Bryndle CD at a used CD store around '02, because I had recently picked up 3 of Karla Bonoff's Lp's,( because of her songs recorded by Linda Ronstadt, who I love,) I found 2 of Wendy's old LP's, then found a real treasure, a compilation CD with tons of amazing tunes and styles! Wow! What a talent!

  • i had all of her albums in high school!

  • What an amazing gift. I have goosebumps.

  • i was listening to her in college--cambridge massachusetts 197---3--4---5 ish?. she is awesome-- i met her in my small town upstate ny at the famous cafe lean--it was an honor to meet a gal who's music has touched my soul for yrs!

  • I became of fan, when Wendy was the opening act for Al Stewart concert,The Year of the Cat. I had a front row seat and all I can remember, she was awesome. The Main Refrain is still a classic album of music.

  • @asquare176

I believe I was at the same series of concerts. Probably 1976 or 1977. I saw Al and Wendy in Corvallis Oregon. Became a believer!

  • It sounds like a country song... It doesn't sound "pop."

  • It was an R&B and pop hit for Vanessa Williams,

former Miss America (ha,she showed YOU! )

    and working actress.

  • Never understood why she was always second fiddle to Linda Ronstadt, considering she wrote the songs, played piano, dulcimer and guitar, seemed more talented. Guess she perservered and got the last laugh (she is the best and she lasts)

  • Loved her for decades...lovely in all aspects.

  • I love Wendy's SONGWRITING and I'm so proud to know her and to have written with her. She is a California Icon and a pioneer of the songwriting scene. her songs are classics and she can write anything.

Oh and her voice is way under-rated, She is one of my favorite singers.

and Did Iforget a great performer and a fuckin' awesome producer. She is way cool...

  • Thanks for posting. Wendy Waldman is one of the best least known singer/songwriters from the '70s. She is so multi-talented. She can play any instrument and any type of music. And she also has a great, distinctive voice.

  • Save The Best For Last is great but check out ANY of Wendy's 70s records, she is, honest to god, the best artist to never achieve living legend status.
