  • I know this video is two years old. But are these cards still for sale and do you sell to your British cousins across the Atlantic? I would like to get a set for my niece.

  • @tudgefunnel I still do, but currently my website is down for maintenance and will be back up in August. I will send you a message once it is back up and running. Thanks for inquiring

  • Very creative. I'm glad I found this.

  • wonderful!

  • Thank you for this, I love the creative and awesome work you do!! :O Read your article in the Mississauga News about the board game, and wish you the best of luck in achieving your goals!

(lol by the way, any chance why Oprah's not in this? :P)

  • I am glad you liked the article written about me and my endeavor - someone actually reads that paper lol. Well, if I can do well with this set, I will come out with another one next year and most likely will include Oprah. But we'll see what this current set will do. Let others know about it :D

    Cheers

  • Great job! I'm definitely going to be getting a set of these.

If they sell better, is it possible that you will make a second series, featuring more women in history?

  • Most definitely...but that is if I can sell this first set. I am still in shock about how hard it is to sell this kind of product. I am hoping viewers like you will check out my site - lanuwame(dot)com - buy a set and most importantly, tell others. Media won't touch this one so word of mouth is all I have :D

  • You bet! The mass media these days is focusing too much on the bad points and none on the good points. Look at all the fuss over a wisecrack Sonia Sotomayor made for example. I don't know of anyone who doesn't make a stupid wisecrack from time to time. But to focus on that, and not the good she can do is irresponsible.

  • well done little 'bro' I am soooo very proud of you!

  • Thank you for the kind words

  • What an original idea! And the cards look great!

  • i would like to know how to make my own trading cards

  • making trading cards for yourself isn't difficult. Remember - trading cards are simply paper...just thicker. The trick is in double-siding, but I'm sure you'll figure out how to do that. Good luck ;)

  • impressive work lue:)

  • thanks

  • They look really cool. Great work!

  • Very nice.

  • That's where I've seen you before, BT, right? I recall thinking it was a terrific idea, still do! Agree w/LadyVendettaAngel's comments re schools, and just the kind of thing families with young kids at shelters might like, too. Check with the Red Door here in TO, they were very kind when I needed them way back when. My last bit of advice: you're a lovely man, but too soft-spoken for the sales game, we need more of a Billy Mays-type (RIP), but not quite that over the top :-) Best of luck, hon!

  • lol - It has been a while since I was on BT (good times). I will check out Red Door, but I try to work with one charity at a time. Hopefully I will raise enough just to help Nellie's. I completely agree with you about my persona on camera - I am quiet and not a crazy extrovert. But I am a one-man crew and I gots to make due with what I can get for free. If you want to be my spokeswomen, at no cost, I'll sign you up lol. Take care and thanks for commenting. Cheers

  • Red Door is a family shelter with, unfortunately, lots of young kids. I was just thinking they might like to buy a couple of packs for the little ones. Otherwise, go with what ya got, hon, I'm busy enough as the unofficial Sesame Street spokeswoman :-) I sent out a tweet for ya this morning, hope it helps!

  • I will contact them with the video and see what they say. And thanks for helping me get the word out - that is very sweet of you. As the official #1 Sesame Street spokesperson, I look forward to more classics you will showcase. They should pay you, damn it. I'm gonna write my man Cookie Monster to set things right lol. Cheers my dear.

  • good idea this is what kids need to help educate instead of sports cardsthat wont do it good idea i hope it work out for you

  • good Idea anything to promote awareness of people who have fought and often died for human rights, Civil rights, womens rights or workers rights, or had the initiative and personality and courage to represent themselves and others unknowingly became folk heroes! great idea man!

  • WOW THAT IS GREAT!!!!!!

  • cool

  • That's an excellent product.

  • Great idea!!!

  • awesome idea :D

thats a good product for our times

can i have a sample of that work? ^__^

  • Exelente inciativa !

  • Young Man, your vido is excellent and much in line with what the "World Needs Now" but may I make a suggestion.

Take a look at the very negation role models the TV sitcoms and Hollywood Mags are forcing down the throats of the young these days. You could make a Game out of those who are giving a positive to the world with their good lifestyles. Find out who and build on it.

The crap that is coming out of H.W. is not entertainment. It's indocternation, even evil if I may still use that word.

  • I hear what you are saying, but there is a problem with positive products, which Im experiencing. Teachers & parents asked me to make this trading card set on great women to provide balance to young girls so I did. Now, I can barely sell these cards, which is a complete shock to me because there is such a need for this kind of product. I was originally going to scrap this set, but for the sake of helping the shelter, I decided to try once more

  • I can easily make cards of violence or big chested women & make money, but I want to push the positives. No one makes the positive stuff because the sales are just not there and guys like me are put in a situation where we must decide to continue pushing unprofitable positives or join the rest and make profitable nonsense. People need to stop talking about wanting the positive products and start supporting those who make them already. It try man, I try.

  • We'll see what happens with response with this product and video over the next month or so. Thanks for your comment Larry. Cheers

  • Just a thought. Did you ever think about calling schools (ie contacting principals) to see if they want to purchase these for their classrooms? Or, maybe make a brochure and send it out to schools. Perhaps your nieces and teacher friends can help you as well. This is an excellent product. I don't know if you have to worry about copyright issues on the images but since it's for charity, perhaps that won't be a problem (I worry about that kind of stuff now that I'm on youtube). Food for thought.

  • I have contacted a few schools in my city, but have yet to hear anything back. School board sales are always a challenge, especially in a tight economy. That is why I'm doing what I can to reach everyday parents and consumers. We'll see what happens. I make sure to use public domain pictures or ones I already own. I know of the legal nonsense that arises from copyrighted pictures. Thanks for your comment ;D

  • I'm very proud of the fact you made this kind of product. Too many men just want to exploit women but here you are trying to promote the positives. I won't be a hypocrite - I will buy some sets off you. Make sure that shelter gets help. God bless your work!
