  • There is 12 shots, but the title says 11...?

  • MMM...judging from john mac's reaction and from watching the slow motion replay, I think hingis's shot was around the post...it just that the ball doesn't have the curve the other around the net shots have - she wasn't reallt stretched out wide you know?

  • I hit around the post shot once when I was playing doubles with my friends but they didn't realise or did they....... lol it was a one handed back hand

  • Murray v Gasquet at Wimbledon? Amazing back hand round the net.

  • The video great but it would of been better with federer in it

  • Great video, brilliant choice of music-well done :)

  • I love how the title says 11, but there's 12. XD

  • 2:51 the guy in the back's face is like holy s*** LOL

  • It's funny how FedFans take it as a personal insult if there is one tennis skills -video in youtube without Federer.. lol

  • Your reasoning to clubpenguinownz's comment is invalid :P

  • without federer, this video is shit

  • Looks like someone is jealous of federer lmao

  • Nice video!

  • I remember hitting one of these once. My opponent said it didn't count -.- I got him to agree to play a let though.

  • I think #11 was the greatest tennis shot of all time considering the circumstances. Also its nice that you tried to include the women but the Hingis on isn't remotely AROUND the net post. It was a nice scramble for a down the line pass, but you can't hit around the post if the ball is in the middle of the doubles alley. If you find someone who can, let me know

  • #7 Nadal played boomerang snake

  • I think Federer has 11 of his own.

  • Hingis' (number 5) shot wasn't around the net...

  • Surely the only problem with the title should be that it should say 12 lol

  • MY FRIEND federer has done a around the net shot at least 1 time and that was in the USO of 2009 against djockovic

  • I dont understand the comments these people are making about the video. The title says 11 around the net shots not top 11 around the net shots. Lol its a video promoting other around the net shots other than Federer's so I dont understand these fed fans going crazy that there aren't any fed shots.

  • shit, this guy doesnt know what hes talking about nadal is the best around the shot guy, he has the best5 banana shot

  • FEDERER INVENTED TENNIS IN HIS LAST BIRTH ! he s playing now cause ppl havent still understood how to play !

  • I have a less controversial title that might be better, 11 around the net shots that you haven't seen.

  • @ClUbPenGuIn0wNz Poltically correct but the problem is not the title. It is explicit, ain't it?

Federer is great but he has too many poorly educated fans.

  • @RaiKanmuri Agreed it is explicit, and your right the title shouldn't make a difference at all. Nice video I haven't seen any of these before this video.

  • @RaiKanmuri "Federer is great but he has too many poorly educated fans"

I'm trying to figure out what the fuck that statement even means...

  • @RaiKanmuri Ahh you are using his name to get more views ..

  • @ClUbPenGuIn0wNz But what if people HAVE seen them? Not everyone just watches Federer. Some people are older than 14.

  • @MaratSafinVideos Well then what should it say? 11 around the net shots you HAVE seen? Video titles are meant to get the viewers to watch it.

  • @ClUbPenGuIn0wNz The title is absolutely fine. I'm sure the uploader of this video knew that there were many videos littered with Federer hitting similar shots and that a lot of people had grown tired of seeing the same shot over and over. As I've said, many real tennis fans would have seen these shots too but people like yourself obviously haven't, so the title is fine.

  • @MaratSafinVideos I am not the one saying the title is bad, it's other people who are saying it's bad I was just simply offering a title that would stop complaints people. I'll admit I haven't seen any of those shots except maybe 1 or 2 because they're nowhere else on youtube(the source I use to watch tennis since I don't get Tennis Channel).

  • @ClUbPenGuIn0wNz They are all on youtube, trust me. I don't have 'the tennis channel' either as I'm not American. There are countless places on the internet to watch tennis.

  • @MaratSafinVideos Yes, but most of these are old and as I have just started getting into tennis a year ago I haven't seen any of them, so I use YouTube which is probably the biggest tennis video resource. Now can we stop arguing? Because I think we've gone way off topic.

  • @ClUbPenGuIn0wNz I'm not arguing, I'm just stating facts. And there's only one that could be considered 'old' even though it's not even really that old.

  • @MaratSafinVideos And I'm stating a fact that there are people who are new to tennis so these types of shots are new to them.

  • @ClUbPenGuIn0wNz Not everyone who watches this video is new to tennis, therefore it shouldn't be called '...shots that you've never seen' because that is pure presumption.

  • @MaratSafinVideos OK then name it "a bunch of around the net shots that everyone has seen" and see how few views it gets. Have you seen those video that say "Best Tennis Shot Ever" those types of videos get tons of views and isn't it "assuming" everyone thinks it's a great shot? All I'm saying is that it would be not controversial and it would get lots of views. Obviously it does cause controversy but to be honest this shouldn't be a conversation in the first place.

  • @ClUbPenGuIn0wNz What are you talking about? I didn't say that everyone had seen them, I was merely stating that naming the video '...that nobody has seen' is very incorrect. I've no idea what you're saying, you make no sense. All I'm saying is that the video title is fine, the uploader is obviously aware of the fact that Federer has several on this website and that people may want to see players other than Federer.

  • @MaratSafinVideos You're totally not grasping what I'm saying so I'm just going to stop arguing.

  • @ClUbPenGuIn0wNz You're talking indecipherable, inane twaddle, that's why! That's the truth.

  • @MaratSafinVideos No I'm not talking twaddle. YOU JUST HAVE NO UNDERSTANDING. I've had to repeat myself and you are totally twisting the conversation and what I'm saying to the point where we are soooooo off topic that I don't even know why we're arguing!

  • Nadal is the net arounder :)

  • great vid, good work. . . and there's enough of the great Fed on youtube as it is.

  • #11, 5 set match and you winning the last set tie break with a shot like that. thats insane.

  • #6 is just absurd! I love Gonzalez!

  • Nalbandian=pure wasted talent.

  • you must have been trying really hard to avoid finding federer's around the nets

  • kewl around the net buggy whip shot by nadal :))

  • The ball was soooo close to the ground on the one Baghdatis hit. Crazy

  • great choice of shots and music

  • Murray is a god. Sometimes.

  • No pusiste el de Federer EN WIMBLEDON CONTRA NISHIKORI, y ese fue de REVES. MEJOR QUE TODOS ESTOS

  • @MusicRequestCo Syphilistine goat, don't you know Đoković is Serbian and proud of it ? It's his real name.

    h ttp://balkans.blog.lemonde.fr/2011/07/07/operation-nole-djokovic/

  • @RaiKanmuri

    yep,check wikipedia

  • @MusicRequestCo lol you moron.

  • @MusicRequestCo whoa take a chill pill asshole

  • @MusicRequestCo your an idiot

  • @MusicRequestCo Nice one dumb shit, he's Serbian. My god even a ten year old could figure that out.

  • @MusicRequestCo ...You are such a moron.

  • hahaha 2:40 the ballboy's doin the shooooulda lean

  • Do you hate Federer? I´m asking that because here should be Federer´s around the net shots if this is top 11..

  • @xVilleSx No, I don't hate him.

  • dude do you know 11 =/= 12 ?

  • You need a banana shot to get it around the net.

Nadal is very good in banana shots and you can see that in his point vs Kohlschreiber

  • wu tennis

  • Noob, the greatest around the net shot is by Federer, just search a bit and you'll see! Then, reply if you want!

  • @TheYu87 fucking goat

  • Whats the name of this song?

  • @TheDaznator Wu Tang Clan - Triumph

  • @RaiKanmuri you fucking dickhead Haven´t you seen Federer´s shor against Gonzalez? one of the best of around net shot you cocksucker and you write none by federer, none by fedex in your fucking dickhead die asshole

  • Where's Federer? o.O A tennis video without the Fed? Does not compute...

  • nice!!

  • you well come !

  • Great video!!!!!!!! I have done the around the net post two times while i was playing a match in tampa florida....

  • miroslav mecir biggest duchbag in tennis history

  • @mrSnakeeye20 what did he do? curious

  • @sgtthriller when the umpire made a call wrong he allways walked of the court and came back when the umpire changed his call

  • @mrSnakeeye20 wow that sorta thing actually worked in prehawkeye days? i really wanna see some non-mcenroe-tantrum videos of bad tennis sportsmanship. like jimmy connors acting like a dick but i cant find any

  • @sgtthriller yupp they didnt have thos type of rules as today

  • Azarenka pulled a round the net shot against Pascek at this year's Wimbledon.

  • The last one is not the best but the hardest see Miloslav Mečíř did it with TWO-handed backhand that doesn't mean that it is my favourite just saying it's the best dead run !

my favourite are the two against Davydenko :D

  • Hitting around the net post is quite possibly the most difficult thing to do in tennis. It requires extreme precision, balance, and athletic ability- something all these top guys possess. Needless to say, I am very impressed. Nice video.

  • what would happen if you put so much backspin on theball that it went on the opponent's side but then bounced back over the net? :3

  • I want to see a player run to the side of the net and volley back an around-the-net-shot :)

  • why did you have to spoil the vid with putting a women's point in it?

  • theres 12 not 11

  • HMMMMMMMMMMM FEDERER HE SUCKS

  • Thumbs up if tennis was better 3 years ago

  • verdasco's shot was one of the greatest match point shots ever

  • No Martina Hingis' s shot was inside the net,

  • Umm....You should change the title to "12"

  • is it just me or does the first shot look like it just changed directions midway?

  • Good vid dude. Enjoyed that.

  • @Nick781CY UMADBRO?!

  • /Man, Spaniards love their no net shots

  • WHY DIDNT YOU INCLUDE FEDERERS??? TO PROVE THAT OTHER PLAYERS CAN DO IT TOO...NO-ONE CAN WIN 16 GRAND SLAMS OR WIN 5 US OPEN AND WIMBLEDONS IN A ROWWWWW...ARE U BLIND 0:55 HOW IS THAT AROUND THE POST?

  • @Nick781CY LOLUMADBRO?!

  • i wish federer was in there somewhere :)

  • you forget one of ggassi against coria

  • There was a Sampras one against Phillippousis from 1999 Wimbledon which was a spectacular forehand round the net which was hit like a rocket. Unfortunately I haven't seen it on youtube, think its been removed.

  • @Techtribal1990 Pete wasn't given enough credit for his passing prowess- he had some of the best running shots in the business, and was so sublime about it.

  • @sarasmilepiano

That's interesting. You must have watched my Sampras Passing shots collections videos I uploaded between 2009 and 2010, he hit some of the best passing shots I've seen, on the run, that's why he was so good against people like Rafter and Becker.

For instance check out my video "Rafter gives raquet to ballkid after Sampras passing shots"

  • @Techtribal1990 Well, Pete was extremely athletic and these types of players can produce unbelievable shots; Rafa is the same way. It surprises me a bit that people forget how good Pete's running forehand was, now that everyone is marveling at the heavy topspin forehand shots of today.

  • Nice video :-0

  • Why mention 'none by federer' in the title? to get more views? lol what a waste of time.

Everyone knows there isn't a shot in tennis that can be executed more beautifully than how Fed does it.

  • @kabelite My intention was just the opposite.

Sure Federer pulls this kind of shot off once or twice a year.

Every time he makes it, it’s a buzz on the net.

The other players don’t have so much consideration (except Nadal or Murray).

So, I just wanted to show "around the net shots" by those other players.

  • @RaiKanmuri

Dude, Federer's hit that shot more than any other guy in tennis, that's why. And he also hits more between the legs shots than any other guy, (maybe) with the exception of santoro.

  • @kabelite

    Federer is gay !

  • why?

  • @rafanadalthebest1

    because the banana isn't straight

  • @kabelite thats completely false and your opinion Federer isnt perfect and doesnt execute shots the best I personally think Nadal hits better

  • @kabelite Fanboy.

  • boomerang snake shots!!! xDD

  • nice vid mate.

  • Murray's is the best

  • @jewbinson lol you would say that, since you're from the UK :)

  • @blazeaire I don't support Murray in particular. I'm a Fed fan if anything. But Murray's shot is still the best in this vid. Nadal's curve ball against Kohlshrieber is pretty awesome too.

  • Where can i find the match with coria???

  • @VerdascoFan I only have this point.

  • @RaiKanmuri ahggggggggggggggggggggggggg

  • @RaiKanmuri i feel as if Gonzales doesn't get anof credit for his shots, in this vid he's pulling of around the net shots like 4 times and fed or rafa do it once or twice and they go crazy over it and on top of that Gonzo did a between the leg shot (with a much bigger racquet might i add) before fed and everybody acted as if feds was the first. not bashing either fed or rafa i love them both, just stating a opinion i head.

  • Verdasco's, Nalbandian's, Baghdatis's, Gonzo's and Murrray's were the most impressive.

  • my jaw hurts from hitting the keyboard...

  • Nadal and Murray's shots were the most impressive

  • Big deal. Federer himself might have hit 12 around the net post shots

  • @repalleteja Lol, i think i have only ever seen him hit 2 or 3?? Nadal seems to do one every 5 matches or so.

  • a lot against Davidenko

  • @Souren17 Yes There are 2 that are against davydenko

  • why not sure? it's hingis

  • 4 shoudl be 2 or 1

  • Nice!

The Sampras ones were particularly fun. ;)

  • wow @ verdascos shot. what a point to end the match!!

and hingis' shot is veeery skilled.

and rafas curveball looks great :D

  • @kOaMaster2 I agree, what a way to win a match

    GOOOO VERDASCO!!!!

and yea rafas shot was sexy as!! xD

  • who is mecir playing?

  • @demondayzzz

    Ivan Lendl

  • #12 Lendl / Mecir = Milan / carpet = 7-5, 6-4

  • @JANJAN75020

No it was Lipton Championship 1987.

  • Hingis shot is #1 IMO -- reasons are

    1. It's the dead run backhand drive (how many of these 12 are those)

    2. She has no time or space to make a Double Handed backhand drive (which is her style), so she did a improvisation and hit a Single Handed drive

  • @rkvids i completely agree with you. on top of that, she had the narrowest edge of scrimmage. she didnt have a huge angle as the other players had and on the other side, there was just a surface of a tennis ball size to hit on.

  • great great vid.

  • Great!

  • @#

    RaiKanmuri Thank you!!

  • #5 doesnt look like its around the post

  • @iwalden97 It is. Sorry for the bad quality.

  • @RaiKanmuri #5 The quality is bad but i you looking very well, the ball past just at the right of the top of the pole. It's my vision and i'm not the only one to see that. Thanks for the video it's one my favorite tricks in the tennis. the best one for me it's #4 Murray shot !

  • @JANJAN75020 It was Lipton 1987.

About Hingis, you may be right, I thought the ball flew behind the post. Thanks for your explanation.

In fact, I had various old videos of other players in order to make this compilation but with the bad quality and the angle I wasn’t sure if they were around the net. So, I removed them.

    I’ve also changed the title.

In addition, some people can tell, and they are right, that some shots aren’t around the post because they would have passed over a doubles net.

  • @iwalden97 it is and the best

  • soundtrack?

  • @LiquiDFlesHLeSs Wu Tang Clan - Triumph

  • Wow Hingis!

  • LOL, what's Murray staring at?

  • Thanks a lot for your help.

#1 Gonzalez vs Djokovic (Madrid 2006 QF)

    #8 Sampras vs Fromberg (AO 1996 1R)

  • Good Job

  • In #5, Martina Hingis running in slow motion is still faster than I can run in real life.

  • nice video. but Roger is true class ever.

  • #1 Fernando González vs -> VS Djokovic

#8 Pete Sampras vs -> Agassi

  • @darkinichou No, Sampras it is not against Agassi. I think it´s against Richard Fromberg
