Hi! Just checking in to see how you're doing. My trip to Tree of Life was nothing short of inspiring! I continue to add more raw to my diet and see the positive results. I wish I was one of those who could just do this overnight.- but I'll take what I can get. I also began adding proteolytic enzymes to my diet just last week and now my asthma of almost 27 years is nearly gone - less than a week!!!! I would never have believed it had I not done it. Hope you're well - happy holidays!
@vegan1dmd Have you checked out any cookbooks? I went to the library and discovered Ani Phyo and the Raw Family (the Boutenkos). They make raw cooking tasty and VERY EASY. Once I found Ani's books I finally jumped into the lifestyle. She has great dessert recipes too. I have shared her treats with my children and family with great success.
It has been 20 years since visiting Ireland, you are fortunate indeed to live in such a beautiful country with such kindly people. You need not listen to my perspective, nor do you need to become so angry, it is not healthy.
iRawLIVE, did you run out of vitamin C when you recorded yourself at the end of this video (from 6:39 to 6:43) or had you just gotten out of bed? I take vitamin C suppliments three times a week as well as an apple every day. Since I have started doing this (about five months ago, I feel calmer and the whites of my eyes are actually white again as opposed to the yellowish color they used to be. I also cut down my cigarette intake to one weekend every fortnight. Smoking destroys vitamin C
old comment but i agree with you. I thought the point of eating raw was to get ALL your nutrients just from raw FOODS, not from supplements. While the supplement may be good, i think it does kind of negate the point.
There is nothing ridiculous about it. As a 90 plus % raw vegan, and as an herbalist, nutrionist, and naturopathic physician, I tell you concretely that the use of a high quality organic supplement is an extension of our food. The state of our environment adds such a taxing stress on our immune and lymphatic systems, that even the cleanest eating regimens need a little assistance. Certainly do as you see fit for yourself, and express your opinion, but try not to call names or make accusations
As a vegan who is now adding raw to my diet in anticipation of going 80% +- raw and studying everything I can find on raw - I find it confusing why you're adding vitamin C powder/supplement to your diet. Explain, please.
Check out the response I wrote to conbhui above. Of course I will tfirst thank you for being civil and non critical. You phrase you question as a member of a supportive greater family of health and growth. We need this kind of positive dialogue.
Thank you for your response. I will be visiting Dr. Cousens center in AZ next month and am looking forward to increasing my raw intake to 80
% or so. I believe that some supplementation is necessary due to the soil in the U.S. being depleted of minerals. I've seen a great positive change adding high quality magnesium supplement to my diet. So, how are you doing?

Why would you take a vitamin C supplement on a raw food diet. Do you know how rediculous that looks? Did they pay you for that advertisement?
