1 Tim 4:1 is scripture proof that the "falling away" (2 Thess 2) is possible even from within the true churches. Paul was referring to the "true faith" not a "false" faith. (1 Tim 4:1)

In other words, based upon 1 Tim 4:1 the "calvanist" doctrine of eternal security cannot be true in light of 1 Tim 4:1

I agree, you can only be saved through Jesus Christ. Catholics don't pray to Mary or the Saints but rather we ask them to pray for us. The Pope cannot save us either, he is our representative and he and his bishops guide us on issues of morals and faith. If you knew about the Catholic church you would not say such things. If you would like to know the truth about what Catholics believe then read the Catechism of Catholic Church, I can assure you that you will find many things most agreeable.

This series surprises me. I almost fell off my chair in 2-7 when I heard Mr. (Dr.?) Ankerberg make use of the monadic definite article, which is a MAJOR rhetorical device in the NT for interpretation of any passage (you can't understand James in English, must trace the article's insertion or deletion, to get his meaning that only the Word works). So 5/5 to the series.
