Again--lovely pics, Caroline! In regard to mind/body--I think that mentality or 'soul' can be perceived as substance and/or spirit--that the essence of our beings is an extremely rarified sort of matter. As energy and matter are convertible forms of the same fabric. Neither is more 'real' than the other. Precisely as you say the sense of smell is a subtle kind of consumption. But energy is ineradicable--thus the soul may be 'immortal'. It is our unseen potential. To will it is to manifest it.
@jkeyes1000 The problem is, though it sounds nice to say that our energy is ineradicable, after death, so often we put someone in a coffin. Yeah, you may change your material to something else, but I wanna go back to the earth, become soil a flower grows in. . .not. . .a corpse in a box. ugh. Natural burial, or bodies on display or can't even think what it's called right now cryogenically freezing. . .
@TransexualTriumphs Well I believe that reincarnation is a natural process--that the bulk of one's body dissolves into elements--but the 'ghost' that we give up is like the fine ash that rises from a fire. And it is this that 'goes to heaven' and floats about until it settles on, and ultimately within a new body. Not in a human lifespan, but gradually--over the course of several hundred years. Hard to prove--but how else to explain innate talent? Genius? Impossible dreams?
@germantranny Is that a wow as. . ,good? Wow as. . .wow as bad? wow as wowsters wth?
