  • I seriously thought that was japanese for a few minutes

  • ALIEM LANGUAGE.

  • "in longhand, just as we can write the words : medical doctor, we can also brief form it with : MD, this is how shorthand works in brief form also,"

What if the world is Mick Dohan or Maniac dog?

I know little about it but it seeems easier to jsut tupe the words even if they are speld wrong you can still eastily type 100wpm . normally

    and read it

    see

  • do this on exam and fail hard lol

  • gregg is a such a great system...

    congrat

  • I love Greg Shorthand, and have for over 12 years now , nearly 7 days a week wrote in Greg Shorthand, and if one is going after speed, then you will have to develop many brief forms to stay with the dictation, for instance, in longhand, just as we can write the words : medical doctor, we can also brief form it with : MD, this is how shorthand works in brief form also, and the more brief forms the transcriptionist develops the faster they will be able to follow the dictation. I LOVE SHORTHAND

  • omg you are so freat in writing short hand

  • /@[.' [[/'#' /@?{ /#'# #~??? !!!!

  • what exactly are you writing??

  • How long does it take to et to this standard?

  • 10 months of pretty motivated study.

(This is the poster under a different username).

I started my study, quite fortunately, when I was on a gap year and had no semblance of responsibility for the first few months. Still, from my readings, I hear that students in a shorthand class could develop 120wpm in a year with only reasonable dedication.

  • Hi Again,

Sorry to keep asking about them, but what kind of pen is used in this video? Is it double-sided? Where can it be purchased?

    Thank you for your help!

    Brian

  • Thats alright. Its a Fisher Space Pen, the Bullet version with PDA stylus tip. I don't recommend the stylus tip because its made of plastic and sheered off when I dropped the pen. The rest of the pen is very nicely finished stainless steel which doesn't dent (unlike aluminium).

  • lol

  • I have made a (revised) video about Pitman shorthand, which you can find in my user channel, in 3 parts (about 25 minutes total.)

Shorthands do away with the alphabet and use strokes of various sorts to represent sounds. "Speed writing" systems still retain the alphabet or a simplified alphabet, and may indeed be easier to learn, but the shapes of the alphabet are still too complex to get to the very highest speeds of writing.

  • double sided pen?

  • i'm learning greggtoo, but i thought it was stenography?

  • ok hold on... that seems like scribbling... is that writting???

  • My great aunt could do up to 200 wpm!

  • That is Gregg shorthand produced by a very expert hand.

University students looking for something to make note-taking swifter should probably look to the various speedwriting systems available. Learning Gregg would not pay dividends to the average do-it-yourselfer in time to be of use. Likewise with Pitman.

  • Umm... Too long. No when I was writing this, I had been learning for 8 months. Its been 4 months since then and I'm sort of stuck at this speed.

You know.. how can you fit in your hobbies when you have hours upon hours of procrastinating to attend to.

  • were did you learn this??? ive been needing to learn for notes in school but i cant find anything anywhere.

  • gregg,angelfishy,net

  • how long did it take you to learn?

  • what form of shorthand is that ? Very different to teeline

  • Looks like Gregg..

  • great writing

    very nice
