I am conflicted about this video. While I find the criticism of both Christmas/consumerism and the criticism of our penchant for war and destruction to be valid, I feel that the juxtaposition of the two is not really fair. There is really no relationship between Christmas and war. Religion and war? Sure, but not the holiday itself. What about consumerism and war, as in "blood for oil?" I don't know...that's a very expensive way to get oil. Overall a good video though.

this movie brings out some really good points but i think it is a bit hard on the western world in general. How many billions of dollars are sent by the government and through personal donations every year? I remember when the tsunami happened every day a new record was set for how much money was donated to help fund relief. Yes there are lots of things wrong with todays society but we're not all war mongering gluttons who only think of ourselves. There are a lot of good people out there.

I suppose you misinterpret why "freedom fighters" is in quotes. It's in reference to the great number of small countries where civil wars are fielded on both sides by people claiming to be "freedom fighters," or something of the sort, and then go on to actually be oppressive militaristic governments. It has happened in numerous places (think Iraq [Sadam Hussein], and a bunch of countries in Africa) and there is simply no way money would help each and every one of them stop fighting.
