I am grateful to my FATHER for sorting me out the real taste of music like this (Specially Amaradewa/Nanda/Somathilaka Jayamaha/Sunil/TM/Victor) in my childhood. Otherwise, i could have easily been carried away for simple shits of the singers like B&S and Iraj.
Can anybody help me? I first heard her in 1988 singing a song about a little rabbit. It was so enchanting. She is BEAUTIFULL! ! It started off"Ha-ha , hari, ha, ha",
From Australia. A Sri Lankan friend expressed suprise that I had heard of this lady at all.
Same with me. I am a man but I can't resist my eyes being welled with tears for no any aparant reason. The lyrics, tune, music all combined together and sung by Nanda Malini has made a very touching song.
You can always delve into your own past and memorise certain things that were related to your life when you listen to any of your favourite song. THANKS for posting it.
So touching song. Easy to say but so difficult to forget the past even the life is so short. This song makes my mind blank. I love it. Thanks for posting this.
Excellent, little sad though. Shouldn't we be more happy and look forward to the future rather than thinking too much about the past and being sad and miserable. Life is too short!
I truly agree with you. we should learn to appreciate what we have now, not what we lost. Its a sad song but she is a brill singer so it makes it worthwhile
feelin im stil alive....fatta no words 2 explain it...real songs....

Certainly she is, not only a brill singer, but also a good neighbour lived a few doors away from us in Nugegoda.
