  • I am grateful to my FATHER for sorting me out the real taste of music like this (Specially Amaradewa/Nanda/Somathilaka Jayamaha/Sunil/TM/Victor) in my childhood. Otherwise, i could have easily been carried away for simple shits of the singers like B&S and Iraj.

From Australia. A Sri Lankan friend expressed suprise that I had heard of this lady at all.

  • So touching song. Easy to say but so difficult to forget the past even the life is so short. This song makes my mind blank. I love it. Thanks for posting this.

  • machan please upload PAWANA,

    thanx for your uploads

  • This song can be related to guy or a gal! excellent! Stanley Peiris is the composer. Tz unfortunate that he passed away from us.

  • Excellent, little sad though. Shouldn't we be more happy and look forward to the future rather than thinking too much about the past and being sad and miserable. Life is too short!

  • I truly agree with you. we should learn to appreciate what we have now, not what we lost. Its a sad song but she is a brill singer so it makes it worthwhile

  • Certainly she is, not only a brill singer, but also a good neighbour lived a few doors away from us in Nugegoda.

  • my lokuammi went to Haywood art school and those days she was married to someone and then he left her for another woman. poor her.

  • Where is Haywood art School in Colombo?

  • I meant to say nanda and my lokuammi went to the same art school.
