@3piku2 Strictly speaking it would be possible, problem with a full size crossbow is the drawing would be much slower, if you had a 150lb crossbow with a cocking stock it would be quite simple.

technically its a lever action but the best ive seen in repeating cross bows. maybe you can hack a shotgun to have the pump cock the string and load the bolt.

First off, I love it, it's an awesome design.

Second, I have a suggestion: why not give it a bigger grip on the front handle, then cock it from farther down on the stock? That would give you more leverage, making it easier and faster to reload.

If you can adapt this to shot steel balls, you got enormous tatical advantages. 1° You can have a 30+ shots mag. 2° BBs are cheaper and more readly availiable than bolts. 3°, its faster to load. 4° The range and the precision wold be better ( less drag, more speed). 5° The mag wold be smaller, making it lighter, better balanced and more maneuverable. But great work, that xbow is awesome!

Hey here's an idea for this gun of yours. Add a handled just under the front of the bow and make the butt of the bow rap more around your shoulder so you can pull down on the handle and leave the bow firm on your shoulder. This thought may make the shooting easier and faster

then you'd be able to achieve faster shots and the other hand would be free to do other hand stuff.

alternate to that, if you integrated the entire grip into the cocking mechanism, so you didn't have to pull your hand off of the trigger every time you cock it.

haha you got to love this. Still i have the original mechanisme on my crossbow. Did have to correct the mechanisme a bit for safer use. For the distances i don't need any laser sight or aim thingy. I noticed the original aim thingy is very unreliable and unstable. I don't store mine under tension, so it's a package anyway. If i would need to use it, i would make sure to use the proper bolts so i don't need a magazine. But ok it looks very cool.

3.Where exactly are you hearing that laser weapons could actually replace a gun? you'd need massive batteries to make the laser capable of killing you and it would be very expensive, a bullet on the other hand is cheap and can be the size of a BB and still kill you

@Wombleonastick he's probably right about lazer's maybe not replacing guns, I think they'll be portable with in our life time they first put them on boeing 747 sized planes and they've miniaturized them enough for use on fighter jet's now, and for defensive turrets, it uses chemical energy not batteries and is cheaper to fire than a missile and can fire over 300km (how far over classified) if the rate of miniaturization continues at its current rate they'll be infantry sized and ready to go.

I think they'll be used by infantry to take down planes and tanks at first, like a missile if when their available (if they are) other new technologies aren't economically and militarily advantageous I'm talking 50 years or 80 or 30 maybe... the fact is as technology advances things can be made smaller, better and cheaper this usually occurs at an exponential rate, and it has been and is now with lasers of destructive power, and if that trend continues they will be available.

I can think of a few ways that a crossbow could have a fast rate of fire like perhaps an engine to pull the crossbow back in a volley design where one is fired whilst the others are being pulled back, the only thing is that you don't need to do that.

A modern day crossbow should be able to go through that cardboard and smash into the brick behind, so even though this repeating crossbow has a fast rate of fire, its useless unless you're hunting crippled rabbits.

another good thing about the crossbows is that when you finish shooting you just collect bolts while with guns you need to buy new bullets all the time.
