  • Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose gotta love it

  • Jesus, this is an awful version of a top song.

  • jedward, bieber, and glee clips all beat this??? this is the one and only time that i will post this but ----- WTF -----------

  • I think Kris is wonderful and this song is just GREAT.

  • where can I found more music this kind?

  • 6 people got no soul!

  • 4 years later Waylon does another great rendition of it on Austin City Limits

  • Priceless.

  • A friend of mine had a judge one time tell her Well Michelle freedomms just another word for nothin left to lose 6 months in jail for you What a jerk but it was funny for court but sucked she got 6 months for a quarter bag o weed damnnnnn

  • I absolutely love this song!! Kris Kristofferson is a fabulous writer; a man who looked like a God and wrote like a prophet, he is actually a Rhodes scholar. This one is particularly special for me cause my mom's nickname is Bobbie or Bobby (her full name is Roberta). So this has certainly become a signature song (of sorts) for her. Janis Joplin's version is, I think, equally as fabulous, but of course in that one Bobby's a man so it conjures up completely different feelings for me as a wom

  • КОЛОССАЛЬНО!!!

  • THE BEST song written by Kris!

  • One of the best combo's ever... i'm hanging here each and envery night listening them (sorry ny english) i like them... much!!!!

  • This song has 2 of my favorite song lines it

"Nothin' ain't worth nothin' but it's free"

"Well I'd trade all my tomorrows for one single yesterday"

I am glad to have stumbled onto this version as intepreted by it's author Kris Kristofferson. Janis Joplin's version is way over the top.

  • really regret deeply that when they were in my city, I failed to go see them and now too late.

    :-(

  • Janis Joplin can't be beaten!

  • OHHH HOW I HATE THAT THIS MUSIC IS GONE, I WISH WE COULD HAVE SONGWRITERS LIKE THESE, I MISS JONNHY AND WAYLOM

  • Just love it!!!

  • One of the greatest songs of all time. Four of the greatest performers of all time, including the songwriter. Can't be beat.

  • Maybe the best song Kris ever wrote.

  • This has to be my favorite presentation of this song. Beats Joplin by at least a mile or two!!

  • @edwolfe1950 Or 6

  • @edwolfe1950 I totally agree with you. I was thinking the same thing before I read your comment. Fantastic heartfelt performance.

  • I had the pleasure of attending a Willie concert at South Shore Tahoe and stand down in front in my Lone Star Beer t-shirt. He pointed to my shirt and smiled and made eye contact. Great night. I'm four months older than Willie and remember when he didn't have hair. Now he's got hair and I'm bald ... LIFE IS GREAT!!!!

  • 4 best concers I've ever been to... willie nelson, willie nelson, kris kristofferson, willie nelson.

(never got a chance to see Johnny Cash or Waylon Jennings, though I've no doubt I'll see them, playing concerts up there!)

  • What a gem - thanks for the chance to see these 'out of this world' performers - great is not good enough

  • I want to put on a pair of women's panties just so I can take them off and throw them at the computer screen.

  • Do Y'all know that Kris landed a helicopter on Johnny's front lawn to give him this song. Johnny was asleep so June took it and promised she would give it to him. Look what happpned. I have to mention that Kris was a Rhodes Scholer too.

  • Kris is a great songwriter. Alot of people do not know that!!

  • LONG LIVE COUNTRY MUSIC! GOD BLESS ALL THE COWBOYS & COWGIRLS!

  • I'm not a big country fan , but gotta give it to these guys! They don't make 'em like this anymore.

  • Not bad. I didn't know that Kris was a singer, too.

  • yeebou!!!

  • what I wouldn't give to have been at this show!

  • How nice isn't it to see performers actually love performing.. I certainly love that especially when you know the piece they are performing must be old to them as last weeks underwear. Really brilliant stuff this. Reminds me of the first time I heard Drugstore Truckdrivnin' Man Performed byt Joan Baez and Jeffrey Shurt at woodstock. This is what music is about, expressing the feelings we all share but are so hard to express some times. More people shold share like these guys!

  • "Nd I'll trade all my concerts for a single night of this..." lol

  • This is a classic. I have never heard this song ever done like this.

  • I am sure the 4 dislikes were mis-clicks!! How on earth can anyone in his/her right mind not like this master piece? Brilliant!! Fantabulous!!!

  • They just don't make 'em like this anymore!!! CLASSIC with CLASS!!!

  • Hello, my great sorrow in my life is not be able to have seen and to listen to this concert of the best music and especially for to quellos that we devote ourselves to the naturalesa, to the life at liberty, the horses, the wind in our face, without thinking about anything mas, that your horse supports this good step that goes, is a shame of not having been there, some day, it was coming and.....The all good COUNTRY MUSIC, YAHOOO ¡¡¡

Together-The greatest four talented musicians and entertainers of our time.

  • @Mongo1940 What about Frank Sinatra?(haha)

  • @RasMajnouni How many songs did Frank write. What instrument did he play? Answer is Zero. As far as his singing ability, that's a matter of opinion but he didn't have that much range. He only sang the songs he could sing which were slow and didn't challange his voice.

From the perspective of what contributions made to society outside of music, I don't think Frank helped anyone other than close friends including which included the gangsters. He only cared about himself.

  • @Mongo1940 Did not you notice ,Sir? I wrote "ha,ha"?The very remembrance of him makes my stomach lurch,my hemmeroids bleed, and my intestines twitch.

  • God bless them all.

  • Slasheri you clips are the best in town carry on like this.

    Kind Regards from Switzerland

  • It takes each and everyone of them to make THE HIGHWAYMEN!

  • ALL LEGENDS sorry but cant see by johnny. he was legendary right till the end .R.I.P MR CASH . ure music helped me ,thanks

  • Growing up with Country even though being raised in Germany was just great. Now here you can see the Elite of CM. I grew up with these Guys, I might add the only one of four Siblings loving CM. Thanks for posting these Clips.

  • Anyone know where I might find an audio CD or tape of this concert?

I love the way they play each others songs and other people’s songs and play them the Highwaymen way a little faster with four part harmony and a lot of fun and energy.

Thanks for posting this and the other great Highwaymen songs!

  • When Janis Joplin sang this, I could barely understand what she was saying. When Kris sang it, I could make out every word. God Bless these great performers.

  • Country Music isn't anything like it used to be. I was raised on the Highway Men.

  • @edd796 Very true....but Country is also one of the only forms say for Rock and Blues...that takes pride in it's roots...and though it's hard to hear it this way....the 99% of the artists respect those who came before...

    God Bless

  • Just look at their faces while they're performing! Have you ever seen such pure joy? These men LOVED being on stage with each other, in the words of Willie's song -- they life they love is making music with their frineds. And WHAT music they made. Country music has never been better than this.

  • @WaywardWind1: MUSIC, in general, has never been better. These guys are/were the real deal. RIP Johnny & Waylon...

  • @WaywardWind1 I think that nothing can work out better than doing one hell of a job and thinking it's more fun than should be allowed! It's the best case scenario.

  • I love these great performers...not just for their music but for their consciousness. They were called outlaws because they weren't mindless redneck idiots but thoughtful artists who elevated the genre.

  • the legends are dying off sadly but surely unfortunitly

  • @BOOBMIT legends never die

  • pure rubbis

  • Alle tror Janis joplin skrev den men se her ... Det var Kris en dejlig country sanger

  • Love, Love, LOVE this!!! Country music doesn't get any better than this!! (This is Cepedaman's wife -- Cris)

  • Love Willie, Waylon , Johnnny, and Kris!! Their voices are so different......I think that is why they all sound so GREAT together!!.....I always wonder why Merle Haggard, was not part of their group....he as far as I am concerned...is another Country OUTLAW!!

  • the song is great but just because the performers are young does not mean that they need to be compared to the older ones even if they are dead

  • NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL "REAL COUNTRY MUSIC"!!!!!!!. . .These artists nowadays can NOT put a patch on these mens backsides when it comes to country music!!! These four are some of my favorite performers!! This just absolutely gave me goose bumps!!! THANK YOU Slasheri for posting it!!!!
