  • number 1 pugeot curse of the commentator

  • indeed, the sound of that 3.5ltr v10, in all it's slightly de-tuned peugot f1 engine glory is magnificent, maybe only beaten by v12 of a similar sort. however, that music also sounded the death knell for this era of prototype racing. the powers that be intended to strengthen the field by having same engine regs as f1, however the sport would have been better off simply keeping group-c regs, freedom to choose engine configuration, but a set fuel allowance for the race. the benefit of hindsight...

  • look at 4:33 - wow, that car was moving - the driver really was driving it like hell - excellent cornering made that man-handle work

  • Gotta love the V10 wail of the 905!

  • 2:27 - 4:05

Some of the most impressive footage of Group-C around.

The music even contributed to the atmosphere of this lonely car and driver soldiering on, fighting weariness during the hardest part of the race in my opinion.

  • damn 905's mazda was clawing for 1 spot but they in tha way

    GO 787B =]

  • Just listen to that Peugeot downshifting at 2:27!
