Almost two years and still leaves an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach and my heart. Been blasting this track all day on my laptop and be damn sure I'll be watching his matches, playing as him in Fire Pro and showing him all the respect I can.
Also I have my fingers crossed that CM Punk or WWE will do something to pay him a little homage on RAW or even their Capital Punishment PPV
@ABTROGDOR Exactly.....no one in the US would know whether or not Misawa was a wrestling legend or a Benihana chef. That'd be a waste of time to the uneducated.
@undisputedretail Misawa had nothing to do with the WWE so why the hell would he be inducted into the WWE hall of fame? He is a true legend and should be inducted into the Pro Wrestling hall of fame for all of his achievements that he accomplished wrestling in japan for founding his own company NOAH.
@GurahkWeavile I'm american and I've known about him for years. You are truly a brainless idiot if you think that no American would know about him. Most wrestling fans that are "smarts" know about him. That's because of his reputation. No person has even come close to putting on the amount 5 star classics he has. Mitsuhara Misawa has 24 credited 5 star matches. 12 times more then bret hart and hbk. 4 times as many as Ric Flair.
@undisputedretail the wwe hall of fame is a joke! i mean names like shawn michaels and antonio inoki make it worth getting into but wwe will always put some lame undeserving celebrity in just to get attention from the media, pete rose and this year drew carey being examples.
Spartan X is a really good song to walk to the ring with. It also tells Misawa's story at the same time. When you hear that, you know he's serious. He never says a word. He's just focused.
I grew up in Japan watching his fights. Used to wake up every morning listening to Spartan X. Don't think there ever will be another wrestler as good as him. RIP Misawa.
Thanks for the memories.. RIP Misawa. You were one of the all time greats with 24 five star ranked matches.. a feat nobody else has ever achieved and nobody else looks likely to.
I only saw maybe a handful of matches from Misawa, but I always knew he was one of the best!, and I know he was a legend!, RIP, all wrestlers should study his matches!, great tribute..Vader tigerbomb is unbelievable in this video!!
god thank you for giving us back Kobashi. but you took Misawa to your kingdom... it's too much for us... Misawa shall rest in peace in heaven. plz say hello to Baba there
Misawa is the reason i'm a puroresu fan today. After seeing him wrestle Kawada in the mid 90s, i've been a fan ever since. I'm saddened to hear about the death of one of the greatest to ever step in a ring in ANY country.
I was in shock, when i arrived to my house i was listening Spartan X (the theme of Misawa) in my Ipod, then i turn on my computer and watch the wrestling news to notice that one of my favorite wrestlers of all time is not anymore with us, i got really sad when i saw that bad news.
Thanks Misawa for all the memories, you'll forever be a legend and the best even if you're not here with us.
Misawa's first major win, and you see young Kobashi, Kawada, and Taue (all will live to be some of the most famous and most loved wrestlers ever) all enter the ring to congratulate him.
Even I marked out seeing that (I still do everytime I watch it).
Best wrestler ever.Best wrestler ever.

WWE, no (perhaps some wrestlers or even good ol' J.R., but overall no)
Punk, didn't he have a taped arm or something with Misawas name on it?
SolidMike84 5 months ago
@SolidMike84
Punk has a tattoo on him of Misawa's boot and he had Misawa written on his athletic tape once.
However at Capitol Punishpent I did see someone do a Rolling Elbow that got a near fall.
Also back in 2008 they had MVP do the Emerald Flowision on Brian Kendrick during a match.
