Yes, Wheels did die about five years ago. He was at a charity hockey game in his hometown of Hamilton Ontario. While sitting in the stands he was struck by a stray hockey puck and passed away two days later. It was very unfortunate.

She's even prejudiced against Joey Jeremiah calling him bad names synonymous with learning disabled people.

I'd have to disagree. They both died as result of guns, but that's really where the similarity ends. Rick went on a shooting spree after he was humiliated at the quiz show, and was "accidentally" shot. Claude got rejected by Caitlin, so he offed himself in the bathroom.
