I think it's funny the original Chiquita Banana specifically said that a good, ripen banana has to have a golden look and brown spots, but years later this commercial contradicts her.
It just goes on to show you how companies are selling what looks the more yellow, instead of educating the public in what's best for them.
"Bananas are yellow, right? So the best banana is yellow, not the golden, ripen one. Buy our young bananas, so we pay less for storage".
Chiquita gives me the chills, in a bad way. I think that the whole Rainforest Alliance thing is bull and just an easy trick for companies, such as Chiquita, to look good without doing good, or not good enough at least...
Here we haven't got Bananes, Ananas or MAango. We have only Appel or pear or berries. So I believe when a Swiss will buy exotic fruites, he should pay for that much more money equally, because exotic fruits are luxury wares.
I am from Switzerland and say Chuqita is a compan that did a lot of bad things has murdered a lot of these poor farmer in these country of latin america.

I'm from Colombia. Chiquita Brands own a lot of lands in Urabá, were bananas grow. We had civil war between colombian state, guerrillas and paramilitary army, which was created by lords of drugs. Chiquita brands hired paramilitary services, like killing countrypeople who was demanding better salaries and rights and who was involved with labor union. With that money paramilitary bought weapons and now we have more that 3000 missing people, if u know spanish I can send u documentaries about it.
