yeah i saw the demo's. they didn't appeal to me at all. but thats just me. "looking at the bottom of ur avatars shoe" and "kicking some soccer balls" didn't seem so cutting edge. and the sony wand demo looked a bit better, but the bow and arrow demo seemed un-responsive. im just treading water carefully when it comes to this motion stuff
i have. i agree its actually better with the wii mote. i know the new sony wand will be used for re5 too. but overall im just not too hyped up with the motion controls in gaming, yet. i think what we have now is the beginning of something great though.
@corytoronto As in right down to the very core of how it actually operates and tracks motion in three dimensions. Seriously dude... Seems pretty clear that you're a ps3 fan, but can't hurt to do a little research and self educate a bit (beyond fanboy vids here) before you make statements like claiming the eye-toy and natal are the same and the eye-toy did it better, that's just absurd to anyone who actually understands the tech.
i never said the eye toy did it better blunty. i said natal is a fraction less crappy, judging by the demo's only i'll admit. i mean " have u ever seen the bottom of an avatars shoe"?? if thats the best they can come up with to show off natal its questionable in the least. but i do appreciate it as elementary steps towards a whole new world of gaming
@Blunty3000 ok blunty the idea for the tech may be different but they do the same thing. not saying natal cant take this idea further, but all the aplications natal promises thus far the eye toy has already performed. Just sayin Sony did copy Nintendo but it looks like microsoft copied a lil from sony also...hmmmmmmm?
@infinitekai A shitty Datsun panel-van and a formula 1 race car "do the same thing" too. Let me make this simple and boil it down to the obvious. Natal tracks total skeletal motion of a body/bodies in three dimensions, the eye-toy merely tracks pixel movement in two dimensions. they are not the same. They are not directly comparable. There are many more differences too, but I won't bother as clearly you're not interested in actually learning anything.
By no means blunty pleaz educate me then. I am willing to learn but i am mearly pointing out...reguardless of the intricacies how natal works.... it performs the same tasks as the eye toy has already proved posible in a gaming experience. And IF u have seen the demos the gameplay doesnt look as fun as wut u could experience on some old teck i may have mentioned. Ans i'm not a FANBOI! I'm a gamer like yourself. I like tech...thts why i subbed u.
for the record they are still testing and adapting the natal project
and yes the ps3 is copying the wii they are only improving it and they made and added extra camera
