I don't hate Kick-Ass but I find this movie far superior for 2 reasons.

1) It has a charm that allows me to connect to it while i couldn't connect to Kick-Ass

2) The violence is genuinely off putting it makes you question your feelings where as Kick-Ass' violence was just feeding people what they wanted

James Gunn has been doing some pretty funny stuff this last few years (I almost peed in my pant watching PG-Porn) and I think this a pretty awesome project. Gunn has established that it's indie, but if not for the movie, this is some pretty awesome pairing(I mean, seriously, Rainn Wilson and Elle Page... goody!) I am looking forward to this movie!

And i think WhydoIwanttokillyou said that the script of Super is slightly older than the script of Kick-ass. Also, don't forget Defendor, another dark comedy that also had a guy (Woody Harrelson) dress up as a superhero. Again, with a different story.
