@angliaknightident I doubt it. Her bullying, forceful style of leadership, 11 years of her and the poll tax along with a government increasingly isolated from the real world (Section 28) killed off her leadership.
After she resigned Tory opinion pols improved drastically. Before they had been below Labour since February 1989! The poll tax didn't help and that is why they dumped her when she needed to go.

I am a ex miner from Derbyshire and I am sick of people asking me why we didnt strike, remember we are not as tough as those miners from Yorkshire and Wales plus Maggie was a scary lady back then, we were already controled by our wifes and mothers, we thought one more woman controling us wouldnt hurt. Out of principle we didnt have principles and thats why I am a ex miner but a proud Derbyshire man too
