@AccessorizeAlways macs can get viruses, they can crash, the hard drive will fail, it will overheat, and many more. they are both fully functional, useful machines. macs don't break or crash or fail any more than windows computers. the reason they don't get viruses is because there are not that many for mac. as they grow in popularity they grow in viruses.

(unix)mac is proprietary meaning a much more close plat form. they are both great but if you want a more reliable but closed platform mac is the way to go. if you want freedom and a more open platform windows is the way to go.

@truBoxingfan actually the main reason is because it is not popular enough for virus makers to make a mac virus. they could do it if they really wanted to. if it askes for a password than they will find a way around that. sure apple puts all of these saftey features in but in a few years viruses will get around that. mac is slowley becoming more like a pc. in good ways and bad. it is starting to game now. it is also starting to make hackers make a mac virus. there are already a few for mac.
