When Stanley Kubrick put this classical music in + and he used that camera lens that was used in the Appollo 11 moon landing I thought to myself he may be one of the best directors ever. I would have used all Brittish actors. That camera lens could film with almost no lighting. I read he wanted it to look real not artificially lit.

Once in a lifetime a movie is created that can never be surpassed or forgotten..Barry Lyndon is such movie.....Every frame is a work of art. Every note played brings emotion to my heart. I have never loved a movie or a musical score more than Kubrick's Barry Lyndon...

The music rips through my heart and devours my soul..The emotions generated by Kubrick's Barry Lyndon is timeless. All of us, both young and old, identify with every experience and emotion.. The death of Barry Lyndon's son still pains me. It hurts so much. I can never get through that scene without shedding tears...

Barry Lyndon... I remember it winning (very deserved) Oscars for music, costuming and the like ... and none for acting (also appropriate). Damn good look to a film, great for stills and clips, but Ryan O'Neal just left me cold. Still, marvelous, marvelous music
