  • Ok thanks!!

  • After converting and burning my movie on DVD I watch it and a message appears on my screen..what can I do so as to get rid of this message???

  • @nancy14souli buy a ConvertXtoDVD, insert the license key, and convert the original file again.

  • In regard to menu settings, is there a setting where when one video ends the user it sent "back" to the main menu for them to select the next video to play?

  • @montgal52 yes there is a setting, [ ] return to title menu after titleset playback

  • i love your voice.. ^^

  • MY BIGGEST QUESTION.Why when i open convertxtodvd after half hour almost of burning my pc turn off?I checked it and it haves no viruses. plz tell me

  • @mixalis4U this happens either when there is a virus or computer is overheating so maybe check for that.

  • @vsosoftware Ok thnx i ll check it :)

  • @mixalis4U I have used several versions from different sources, Never had that issue, I doubt it is a virus. But it is possible your CPU may be overheating and shutting down as a safety feature. Try downlading a free CPU program like Core Temp, That will display your real time CPU temps. then run Convertxtodvd and watch the Core Temps to see if they get very high. Convetxtodvd puts your CPU to work to convert the videos. If your temps do not get too high it is probably not a heat issue

  • @Eddiefry ALSO.... if you are over heating I would suggest a better cooler, if you are going air cooling I would suggest a Noctua 14, I love mine.

  • @Eddiefry Thanks for help.I deleted the folder and i re-install it.Now works great :)

  • @mixalis4U click action second from the right at the top tab, and click shutdown pc, try again worth ago best dvd converter ive ever found

  • @mixalis4U u could run task manager and reduce the priority to low and you could also change the affinity so that you only use certain number of cpus instead of using all the recources. one other thing might be your computer is idal so it might turn off after certain time so check your settings.

  • custom background pictures work with vso glossy green, blue, fushia(pink). custom doesnt work with all menu templates. p.s. convertxtodvd encodes faster then Nero- a big plus. 1 hour movie will be ready in an hour, and i got pentium 1,...slow computer.

  • @crrazyy for the custom background not working, you mean in version 4 or version 3? can you tell me exactly what templates it does not work with? do you mean the option is not available or that it is not working?

  • @vsosoftware i have version 3. i always put my own custom background. didnt work on detective template.probably cause already has a photo. realized black glossy template is best.dont need to adjust opacity.already 100% no problem

  • @crrazyy ok thanks

  • settings,chapters--- as in 3:19 adjust settings before adding your avi files.-or wont save....at least for me didnt save.

i adjusted my chapter settings to 12 minutes, cause i dont want 25 chapters.

  • subtitles-yes. unlike nero ver 1-9. right click subtitle, and choose add. {sometimes its added automatically if the title name is similar}.

  • hey, nice vid, but i have a question. I use this program for a long time, and i know to to use it but i have a dout. I have an old saved project and i want to burn it again. But for some reasons i dont remember why, i changed the video files places to another place diferent then the original one, and now the convert to dvd x cant find them, but they are there. how can i make it find them? can i show it where are the videos now like itunes or something????

  • @busislo01 You can do this either two ways:

    1) put the videos in their old spot (easiest solution)

    2) Open your project file with notepad (right click - open with), which has the extention ".xtodvd" and edit manually the path file of the video. Save the file and then open with ConvertXtoDVD

  • Thanks for the video.. i read all day long its nice to have a video to learn from..

  • @bucksblessed thanks for your comment

  • can you set in the subtitle without burning it into a dvd because i want to play it on my ps3 with an usb stick

  • @TutorialsAndCo I think you could convert the file with the subtitle, do not burn it, but go to the folder where ConvertXtoDVD put the files it made and copy those to your USB stick and it should work.

  • Yes you can

  • Can u burn an an .AVI file with a subtitle file (.SRT)??

  • @peragutt yeah. i use this program for burning. you have to select it in the menu prior to watching the movie but it works fine

  • proper tutorial thankyou

  • @b4uask6ft2 thank you for your comment :)

  • is this better than dvd flick and is it faster and does better rips

  • her voice and this software is recommended !

  • @KRAYSLiCK999 thanks!

  • my god her voice is so sexy.

  • My dad wants me to convert P90X exercise video, can convertxtodvd burn regular DVD-R discs

  • @louiz0999 I am not sure I understand the question, but yes ConvertXtoDVD can burn regular DVD - R disks.

  • @vsosoftware thanks

  • Awesome software guys. It really gets it done!

  • @Peppahh cool! thanks for you comment, and glad you like it!

  • ConvertXtoDVD is the best DVD burning software from over a dozen I've tried. Most were pathetic to totally unusable.

  • @SounzNice thanks for your comment!

  • great software... i recommend

  • or maybe i have to update my computer to a service pack 3 system

  • i'm using vso 3

  • @louiz0999 I dont know you can try and convert the files individually to see if it is one of the files that causes the problem, you can also try version 4 to see if it is a bug that was corrected

  • Why does my computer always freeze still and doesn't respond whenever I'm converting 16 wmv files to the DVD?

  • @louiz0999 what version are you using? I suggest contacting the vso support for precise help on your problem.

  • thank you so much for the help you've gave us I really needed help on that but now I can work with it just fine and it's all thanks to you ^^

wow and look at that 20 ppl dislikes this video I wonder why hmmmm ?

  • i'm having a problem with this when i burn the dvd quality avi file to a disc and play on my dvd player it stutters when the camera pans or when characters move slowly across the screen

  • @waffleleg for help please contact the vso support team directly on their official website:

  • how do i get rid of the msg that comes on when i play the dvd on my dvd player

the msg says BUY A KEYLOCK TO NOT SEE THIS MSG

  • @XxROSSxxELITExX buy a license key, enter it into the application and then convert the original file over again.

  • @XxROSSxxELITExX

either buy the key, or download a torrent with a keygen for free.

  • if you attempt to burn anything that is larger than the disc size, say 10 gb file to a 4.7gb disc, then it will have to compress the video data to enable it to fit. quality will be reduced, but not so much that it is unwatchable.

  • Your voice is so soothing and sexy, i just put this on in the back ground to hear your voice

  • @BlackLotusStygian Weirdo

  • It will automatically adjust to your DVD disc.

  • I have a movie that is 10 GIGS large. can i put it on a DVD? And if i can will i lower the quality of the movie?

  • Please someone response to this. I have a movie that is 10 Gigs large. its one file

can i put that to a DVD? And if i can will it be in lower quality??

  • EXELLENT VIDEO KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

  • @mosketerra thanks, did you see there is a more recent video though, for version 4?

  • Hey vsosoftware!!! Do you have any new videos/tutorials for convertxtodvd4? I like how you explain things in all of your videos. Great work. More please....

  • @WebbFree yes in fact a message was added to the beginning of this video saying to see the latest video to click on that message and you will be directed to newest video.

    Thanks for your comment :)

  • @1001MusicFan1001 yes it does

  • nice hun so good tutorial thx

  • thnaks for the guide.. was good .. will the convertXtoDVD take a file of a movie in bad quality and burn it to disc in a better quality? or only copy the exact quality of the file itself?

  • @NarutoShinobi09 it is only extremely rare cases when the result will seem better, generally the conversion result is identical to the original. ConvertXtoDVD cannot make up invent things it does not know exists.

ConvertXtoDVD handles the inforamtion provided, it cannot create additional information to make things better.

  • so is there any way to help by getting rid of all these pixels of the movies or I do I go find the company that make convert x to DVD and complain cos ive been ripped of what do I do ? ? ? ?

  • @dalbenton write to the technical support and say you are not satified with the quality. Have you tried converting more than 1 file?

  • Convert X to DVD is a load of crap, cos every time I use it to copy DVD movies the TV screen is covered in square pixels ive set it to HQ ,now I wont pay no more money to Convert X to DVD let alone me being ripped of

  • @dalbenton it really depends on the source of your file. Here at VSO or at the forum we would be happy to look into your case to see what has happened. Posting your log file will provide us with most of the details.

  • @dalbenton The program has worked fine for me. It's obviously your source.

  • Good program. Well worth the money. I had v3, I updated to v4. So far I think v3 is better than 4, unless I'm doing something wrong.

  • i got problem with this program when i watch movie as divix format the subtitle is ok, but when i convert same movie with same subtitle, subtitle gets diferent timing. can anyone help me ??

  • @aaarrslan you can do a subtitle offset if necessary, this is in the treeview under source files

  • Thanks ! i will do that.

  • why don't you upload a pic so we can see your face ? your voice is promising

  • I am thinking about buying this program, could anyone tell me what are the limitations of it? is there any format it won't convert? anything i should know about???

  • @songthirtyone I would try the software to see if it meets your needs. Basically it will convert any valid video format to DVD (excepting tivo and other such protected files with DRMs). The trial version leaves a watermark, but that is the only limitation.

  • you have a voice of an agel god bless you !!!!! you helped me out

  • ok i did everything in the vid, but when i hit convert it say not enough space in folder. there's nothing in the folder. so what can i do to stop that from poppin up

  • @MARLONWASP Are you sure to have 4.3 Gbytes space left on your hard disk drive c: ?

If you don't have enough space left, I suggest you to delete some the files you'll qualify as useless. (old documents, pictures, temp files, and so on)

If you've enough space, then I suggest you to create a new directory called "CxDTemp" on the c: root.

Then, when you run Convertxtodvd, you go to the general settings and you change the working folder destination.

The working folder will be "CxDTemp".

  • You should make a sleep hypnosis video.. your voice is very relaxing.

  • Sooo true !!!

  • i think the content advisor in new version is faulty. i have a title that is 129 mins, both short project and medium projects show best possible result

  • @redneckboy6983 I would believe the conversion adivsor. Check out the forum thread I mentioned it should help you understand how it works.

  • some questions... so for this new version 4.0,, there is no longer High Med Low quality values, instead Short, Med, Long... not the smartest person in the whole, so i guess you substitute HIGH-Short, Med-Med, Low-Long projects...

i tried both Short and Med projects. Short almost always uses the whole DVD 98% occupation and Med, around 75-83%.. how do i know whats the best qualify for theatrical release movies...ENCODING time is not a factor for me (QUAD CORE) and 2-pass is NOT checked.

  • @redneckboy6983

the new settings correspond as you mention to the old settings, just different vocabulary used. I would leave medium setting for your theatrical movies. In the VSO forum there is a sticky called "How to get best quality? Max # of files? Doesn't fill DVD?" You might want to read that it will help you understand these settings.

  • it would be good if someone made a review on the new version of convertxtodvd 4, since this is already outdated and i dont speak spanish

  • @redneckboy6983 does that mean there is a review of version 4 but in spanish?

you are right a newer video is needed

  • Not the most helpful response from you hey?

  • i'm using the same disks and burning is under dvd drive. Any ideas??

  • this sentence does not make sense to me

  • This has been a great help, BUT, for some reason I cannot burn onto a disc anymore. Everything runs smoothly - I even get 'operation complete', yet my dvd players do not pick anything up! Any ideas please??

  • have you changed brands of disks you are using?

under the burning tab is ISO selected or your dvd drive?

  • are you converting to the right format for your region, NTSC for N America and PAL for Europe?

Can you play the DVDs in your computer

If you write the vso tech support they can help you troubleshoot.

  • very clever being a woman, your showing our men up.

  • is there a way to keep a menu -but i would like to insert my own background image ? how do i do that ,i tried but not sure if possible

    thank you

  • @mikertones yes, there are also videos on how to edit the menu. Check out the other videos on our channel

  • Thanks this was helpful =)

  • @BloodyHellXx Thank you

  • and i just now relized that my files are avi will it still work right

  • i have this can i put it on a CD-R or CD-RW if it fits

  • @purified159 no it only burns onto DVD, which is more appropriate for DVD video content.

  • i been using this software for awhile and i just noticed the conversion priority and i want to know if set it higher than normal will the conversion go faster and will it mess up the movie

  • it will not mess up the movie, it will have you computer concentrate on the video conversion so yes it will go faster, but if you are trying to use your computer at the same time on another task it will be very painful and your computer will react very slowly as it is giving its resources to ConvertX.

  • Ok when my dvd is all done and burned its always has a message popping out says "BUY AN UNLOCK KEY TO REMOVE THIS MESSAGE" what should I do someone message me!!!!!!!!

  • buy a license key and convert again your original video files.

  • I have a question, I converted two movie files that were over 4.7gb and they both got onto th 4.7gb blank DVD and it says 4.06gb total on the DVD, does converting it to DVD make the files smaller?

  • ConvertXtoDVD naturally compress files to fit onto the target size selected in the settings, (encoding tab).

Sometimes converting files will make their output smaller but the quality should remain the same as the original watch the two with a video player to compare. See the vso forum for more info on the topic.

  • i havea question please, how to fix the time delay thay i get sometimes between the audio and the subtitles?

  • check the vso forum with how to offset audio or subtitles and you will find a post explaining how to do this.

(You edit the sources files in the treeview)

  • i hate new version does anyone else agree..... i was putting avatar on DVD and choose LP (long project) target size DVD-5, normal conversion priority and check off two-pass encoding and set it to make ISO.

i put in action at like 11pm, woke up in the morning it was still doing stuff,,, whats the deal i have VERY FAST COMPUTER, CPU, graphics, memory ...

i hate it. it said Encoding option: will give Good Result, i didnt want to choose automatic opt cause then it changes the encoding to med

  • and how did you like the result of your conversion?

  • your kidding write, it never made the iso image....it shouldnt take 8 hours to convert a file to ISO...maybe if i had an old piece of shit pc....

it only worked if i didnt check off the two-pass encoding...

leaving it an automatic looks OK, i mean theres really no way to check unless i burn them and play them on DVD to see

  • @vsosoftware is there a way to tell what the size of the video will be when its converted?

  • @DoctorwhoEpisodesHD you know it will not be bigger than the target size, but the real size you cannot know in advance

  • thx alot i try it soon

  • i use this program and i put xvid files on, but it dosn't work on my dvd player, any help? im using ntsc

  • @jsalus1010 try playing the disk on another player perhaps the brand of disks you are using is not very compatible with your player. Also reduce burning speed to 4x so that disks is easier for DVD players to read.

  • Use PAL not ntsc

  • you have a really sexy voice love love it, turns me on sexy!!!

  • @hughesy73, you turn me on something else.

She' s talking about dvd programs, man!

How can you get horny with something like that?!

  • i know she was rofl i was in a funny mood man alot of people get like that you know rofl, and i said her voice was nice id idn't say the dvd shit or the vid was nice

  • thank you!

  • @vsosoftware..

hi there, need ur advice on the burn-time issue cuz it took me bout 1h50min to burn a 700mb .avi file with minimum setting and burning speed of 4x; is dat normal or should it take less time then dat? if less, am i missing something somewhere?

appreciate you reply on this matter.

    regards

  • @fixcomm seems like a long time, but you said to burn, but in fact you mean convert (and maybe even convert and burn).

it all depends on if you are usingyoru computer other things, and your system setup and processor

  • @vsosoftware

yup, it was convert & burn process. so i guess dat's kinda the accepted duration huh? thanx anyways.

  • Does convertxtodvd support DVD-R Dual layer.....because I'm getting a message as it's about to burn saying to insert a DVD+R DL.......

  • @TBEasyC probably because you changed your target size (in the encoding tab) or based on what the conversion advisor said. Put DVD-5 here, and convert the file again and it should fit on a regular DVD no problem

  • @vsosoftware Hi again, but don't I need to select DVD-9 if I'm burning to a dual layer disc?

  • @TBEasyC I dont undertand your question. If you have and want to burn to a double layer disks select DVD - 9. I understood previously that is not what you wanted to do...

  • @vsosoftware I don't know how to make myself clearer.....I had a DVD-R DL (Dual layer) disc in my drive to burn my movie on. Once the movie was encoded it told me to insert a DVD+R DL disc in the drive. My question was.....does convertxtodvd support DVD-R DL or not?

  • @TBEasyC it does, you disk might be seen as blank, you can download VSO Inspector to see if the disk is blank and or if it sees the disk also.

  • @vsosoftware It's a brand new disc so yes its blank, and yes VSO Inspector can see it.

  • @TBEasyC write to the tech support, solving problems isnt easy on youtube. Try burning the disk with ImgBurn to see if it works that way

  • @vsosoftware Ok will do. Thanks for your help, appreciate it :)

  • which one is the latest version? 4? or is there a fifth version? if not, will there be on soon?

  • @TheKillerMan932 version 4 is the latest, and there will be more versions (of version 4 ) to come before a version 5 is released.

  • I burned a couple of movies with this program but they only play on my computer and not on my DVD player. please help me

  • @Beto1862 it is possible you converted to the wrong format for your region ( ntcs or pal)

you can write the vso tech support to get more info, you can also try and read your log file to see what was the conversion you did

  • Is the ConvertXtoDVD 4 a newer version?

  • @Yoshi181313 yes it is

  • the old version used to be great for burning quicktime videos to dvd, really great.............does this version still burn quicktime??????????????????????????

  • @Excecutioner147 Have you written to the technical support to troubleshoot? or really report a regression bug?

  • @Excecutioner147 it should

  • good tutorial.

    Is that Toronto skyline?

  • @MeHateEveryone I really dont know, sorry

  • @MeHateEveryone

Yes that is the Toronto skyline...the water in front is all tears from the idiots who are suffering from Dalton Miller syndrom!!! Poor stupid bastards.

  • hi,why do i get a problem when i add title, caption to menu...basically i am trying to reduce the height space between to titles but it says:text is too long, when I position my text so it looks good in the demo background preview when I hit OK and it turns red, telling me that the text is too long

Is there any way I can position it at the exact position I want?

  • @joefurzton you can play with the font, you can also make your text fit on 2 lines if you want as well, but there is not easy way to move the text or lines to where you want them in the menu.

  • after listening to the video i see under yout DVD options when u click the plus it has the option under template to:

    play video automatically (skip menu)

mine doesnt show this...i have two videos files i want to play back to back and i want it to start automatically when i insert into a DVD player, any suggestions:

i am using version 3.7.3.190, under the templates thing, i see NO menu, option.. im going to try this and see if it works

  • @redneckboy6983 please use the latest version of version 3 or 4 which is not 3.7.3

  • what do i have to do in my settings so i can make a DVD just play without having a title,

everytime i make the iso image, and play it, it brings up a title screen where i can click chapters or play. also if i have two chapters and i want them to play one after the other without having to do anything..

heres what i got for my settings:under dvd menus

    play titles one after another-check

skip root menu initially - check

  • @redneckboy6983 either use menu template 'no menu' and or check item "auto start playback"

  • sou have to buy a blank dvd disk and put it in ur comp while you convert? can u convert it, the nsave it somewhere and transfer to dvd later on?

  • Yes, you can.

  • hey i'm using a AMD Phenom X4 9850 at 3.01GHz, i'm also currently using winavi to convert videos and it's pretty slow(150-180 FPS) is convertxtodvd any better/faster?

  • From what I remember, winavi was faster than convertx. But it always gave very jerky playback, whereas convertx is nearly always perfect.

  • But anyway, I would have said that 180FPS isn't actually that bad. But I am getting better frame conversion rates than you with a dual core. Convertx seems to use multicore CPUs pretty well, maybe winavi doesn't?

  • i'm using convertxtodvd right now and i'm getting 10-100 FPS more than winavi, thanks

  • i love this software but its kinda slooow :)

  • Maybe you need a new/better cpu?

I remember when I first started using convertxtodvd a few years ago. I had a pentium 3 that ran at 1000mhz. I seem to remember it could convert about 10 frames per second and took could take over 12 hours to convert a movie.

A core 2 duo can convert over 200 frames per second and can do a movie in about 10 minutes.

I wonder if software like this will ever be able to use the GPU to convert? That'd be great...

  • i have

    intel pentium r 4

    3.4 (3000+) mhz

Oh yh windows vista ultimate black edition

  • So I'm guessing that CPU takes about 40 minutes to convert a normal 700MB .avi file to .vob?

  • about 30 mins but i used to have an awsome program that converted and burnt in about 1 minute :) but cant remeber it :(

  • You might be talking about the program that the previous poster has just mentioned, which is winavi.

  • Lol sry my last post wass suppost to say 10 min -- but it was not win avi -it was convert "something" and you could choose themes like convertx

  • Comment removed

  • ok, you know when youre converting a video with subs and while its converting, the subs wont show?

what about the audio? how come mine says 24.00 ms removed? what does that mean?

  • it is simply a message from the engine, you should let the conversion finish, do not burn if you want for precaution. Watch the result to see if it is fine then go to action / burn an already converted file. You can write to support if you have any problems, another version may be sent to you that handles that one particular file better

  • i let it finish converting and then i burned it. the audio is fine but how come the audio is out of sync? is there anyway to fix that?
