  • "And then the school computers gave me so much grief it's ridiculous."

    Try the Media Studies room next door, we have Macs and iMovie which is admittedly a terrible terrible program but at least it's usable for basic things like what you were trying to do.

  • Oh really? Well, don't forget that I'm new to Cherwell so I know nothing about the resources... Adobe Premier Elements seems to be a decent program, but there were issues with exporting and saving files, and I had to use a teacher's account otherwise I couldn't save it to the Shared Area and... yeah. Got it done in the end.

  • I approve.

    Stalin was wrong.

  • Mm-hmm. But this isn't supposed to be a film with me trying to make a real, serious statement, it's just the end result of an Art project about confessions.

  • @lutragem Does your school have Adobe After Effects or Final Cut Pro(this program which is only available on MACS)? But both do export movie files though.

  • @LunatikTokyo

    Um, I think it's Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0, on Windows XP. I can export film files, but I had a lot of difficulty with saving on the school server and locating files and slow computers.

  • @lutragem Ah ok. I havent used that program before. But a good rule of thumb is to not save to the desktop and not to the "My Documents" folder. Theres a chance itll get deleted when the computer is restarted. So always save to a drive where its designated for students to save. For example Im an animation major and there was an "Animation" drive like Animation(:E) and we save our work there(and keeping them in one place).

  • @LunatikTokyo Otherwise you can save to a thumbdrive or an external drive. Im sure you probably did the right thing though.

  • @LunatikTokyo Cool project btw!! :D

  • @LunatikTokyo

    Ah, if only our school was that organised. We had the space available, it was just messy working with it. Students can't access ANY place large enough to store a film file, so we have to use staff accounts and it's just ridiculous. Plus, the program kept losing where the component files were kept.

  • @lutragem Oh my that IS a mess!

  • Great mask darling! ^^ (Note: This is SamalaKatal from DA, I used to go by XadorKatal). It's hard for me to hear with the other languages mixed in, but it's easy to get the point. ^^ Good luck with the mark!

  • Thank you~

    The audio is supposed to be a little difficult to hear, but I think you can hear it if you really concentrate on the English. Of course, I might just find it easier because I know what the script is. ^^;

    Thanks again.
