here are what lifts are in each block Newbury, Brecon, Worcester, Clovelly, Taunton houses 1 pders lift Pemboke, Reading houses 2 jackson lifts odd and even Bridgewater, Tenby, Lynton houses 1 lift currently being replaced with pders Caernarvon house 2 older pders lifts odd and even Winchester, Exeter, Marlow Houses 2 express lifts odd and even 1 is being replaced and the will be replaced soon
I'm away in Newcastle today (work), gateshead is just down the road - if I get time I might see if the 'get carter' gateshead car park is still there. The lifts will be boarded up, but worth a visit I think.

I'm always on the hunt for old lifts, with the exception of those I have visited already, no I don't. But there are hundreds of housing blocks in London. I went to one during the week - will upload tonight sometime.
More high up buttons to come in part 2! Cool original Express call buttons with a green "Lift Coming" lamp, I think these were even higher than this video!
Some very nice finds, I especially like the 2nd lift, nice buttons and floor indicator. I see odd/even lifts in the building at 4:12, I agree they probably ran out of money/doors. Most Express residential lifts i've seen have had door windows, maybe these don't due to them being outside? Excellent Video!
I've done a bit of research on this estate - found an old image which as you say shows the lift door with a window in it. I will show it at the start of Part 2 (editing it tonight).
during the 60s 70s express had the contract for every council estate in london, apart from the occasional bennie on odd estates.

I went there today 21.07.2009
there were just 3 express lifts left.
There were some workmen from porn dunwoody ers (recently renamed pders) who are replacing the lifts
one workman said the old express lifts were well made and could have lasted longer and new new lifts won't last very long.
