@sithadmiral DROZDMAX.COM there's a guy who mods these things. He makes them full auto with 3 shooting options with the "BBMax Drozd Blackbird Mod Chip" it makes it full auto 600-900-1200rounds per minute. Here is a quote from his website.

"The Drozd Blackbird is truly the ultimate bb gun for anybody that is into shooting full automatic guns and with power upgrades this gun can easily shoot over 900 feet per second!"

I could not find what you called a BNA adapter so we could fit paintball HPA tanks directly to the gun. and also where did you buy it?

can either drozd shoot pellets? I mean like the oddly shaped cone type ones used for hunting small game, not the BB type.

on the small paintball airtank what was the little pressure valve for it had a adaptor coming of the side is that so you can fill it by slipping on a hose or what.

@austinyoung300ex It's an 1/8" quick dissconnect used for paintball and high pressure air gun applications. So you can fill the tank with standard scuba tank.

@austinyoung300ex paintball tanks go from 3000psi to 4500 psi, and most home compressors only get up to 120 psi. I have seen one that goes to 4000psi ,but it takes 12 hours to fill a paint ball tank. Much easier to get scuba tank, or get it filled at paintball field.

@thephilbert Yes - both higher fps and more consistency w/ HPA. You'll get around 360 fps average w/3x-12g , 390 fps average w/88g, and ~450-480 fps average w/HPA - this is in typical usage (w/ burst modes). You'll get higher fps average in semi-auto/slow-fire than in rapid bursts (with all propellants) but rapid-fire affects the CO2 far more.

The blackbird takes power away from the solenoid The hammer that is electric So it stricks the valve with less force. The hopper & stock seem cheep. So I went with the reg Drozd. Will wait for jimCs 300 round bulk Mag made for LEAD SHOT.

My airguns are the IZH Drozd, The Gamo Whisper, and Crosman 1077 Co2. And by far this is the funnest to use. (Then Gamo for hunting small game)

i just got this one today from here in moscow. problem is that i cant screw off the 3x12g system and there was leaking when i first put the gas in. lost 5 gas cylinders without a single shot. id have to open the whole thing to remove the system and that might lead to a broken gun. nice to see u dont have any problems

You might be missing a o-ring or the 12 gram cartridges may not be seated correctly. goto mp661k see forums lots of good information there.

I know that the blackbird magazine will fit the regular drozd. Not sure if the old drozd magazine will fit blackbird, but i wouldn't waste money on the old magazine.

How accurate is this gun? Something that shoots that many BB's at once can't be very accurate from too far away....

No it's not very accurate, 10 and 12 year olds can hit soda cans at 40 50 feet pretty consistently, but it is a lot of fun. If you want accurate get a beeman. You can hit quarters at 150 feet.

Yes it shoots metal bbs It can also shoot lead bbs. Lead bbs are expensive. It can definatly kill most pests crow and rabbit size or smaller.

I get about 900 1000 shots with 88 gram cartridge. You can refill them if you get the adapter. No it won't shoot thru street signs. Pellet gun much better for hunting I have a beeman and Daystate huntsman I can shoot 1 inch targets at 45 meters with them. With the blackbird I can hit beer cans at 25 meters. With full auto chip I can shoot 1200 bbs per minute, which is really fun. It's hard to miss anything shooting 1200 bbs full auto.

@sithadmiral Typically, 88g cart does not give 1000 rounds; neither does 22ci tank. I get ~400 rounds from either. Drozd 1 gets ~60 rounds from 12g in typical use; 88g is roughly 7.33x or 440 rounds (so math checks also). A bit more in slow-fire but not in full auto (unless you're willing to take a giant loss in power); FPS wise I get ~390 fps average with the 88g (a bit more in slow-fire) and ~450-480 fps average with HPA.

ok i can't decide wat to do ,buFully Auto Custom Drozd MP661K--upgraded from 600 Rounds Per Minute (RPM) to 1200 RPM!!!!

(same rate of fire as an UZI!!!)

24" rifled barrel with heat shroud and muzzle brake increases accuracy and BB speed to 750 feet per second. Select burst rate for 1, 3, and 6 round bursts with each trigger pull.

Shoots lead BBs (for more punch/accuracy) or standard Daisy zinc/steel BBs. for over 400$ or a normal 1 4 280 plz reply and the 400 1 comes with 24"barrell

No it does not come with any 12 gram cartridges. The 88 gram co2 tanks can be found at Walmart 2 for 9.99 or K mart 2 for 15.99 most online airgun shops carry them.

I've got to say, you make great videos. I still have some questions though. I was wondering about that loud motor noise that happened when you turned it on. Does that sound continue while firing? Anyway, the vid was very helpful. Thanks.

Thanks. The motor kicks on every time you pull the trigger, it stops when the chambers full, you get used to the noise after awhile. You can get the 22ci hpa tank at wevopaintball or ebay has them from vanguardpaintball

Im pretty sure you can. I know the blackbird magazine works on the old drozd ,but you need to setup external power supply for it.

yahoooooooo!!!! i just ordered the original drozd..should het it in about 2 weeks....i went with the keep it simple theroy...30 shots is still better than my old single shot....i loved the old sniper saying ...one shot one kill...i hope the 30 shots dont make me a sloppy aim

The BBs falling out not a real problem. You only lose 2-3 bbs once in a while. Not a big issue since the magazine carries so many bbs. You dont even notice it when your shooting. I would get both guns.

great review...iv been waiting for the blackbird to come to canada...not here yet....how does the blackbird compare to the original drozd???i was thinking simpler might be better...but i really like the 400 rnd mag and the bulk co2..do you think its worth waing for or should o get the original???

I dont have the original Drozd but the clip only holds 30 bbs vs 400 bbs I would wait for the blackbird or just get both. Jim C is working on a larger capacity magazine for the original. Not sure when it will be available.
