  • thank you. i was running around for an hour before i found this. but people need to be careful about leaving their horse. he usually follows you and falls to his death. best to take him with you to the end of the path to avoid this.

  • Locations ( not treasure ) : Everytime I try to buy a map in the General Stores (so far ) I'm told it's not available and when I did buy one for Cholla , it came up on the screen that I'd discovered everything there. So what do these maps look like?

    PS, Excellant quality uploader.

  • @Noodles37UK You cant buy these maps in the store. The first map you get is usually from an NPC that will be around treasure location number one. After you get map one and find that treasure chest, the map for treasure 2 will be in treasure chest 1, etc etc.

  • @mpeterso01 No I meant the location maps you see on sale in the General Stores. Anyway, I started a new campagn, and I bought a map for Hennigan's only to be told I have discovered all of Hennigan's locations when all I did was to buy a map. Either it's a glitch ( pre owned disc ) or that's the way the game works. I just don't trust this game one bit for glitches. Mine is rife with irritations. Cheers : )

  • @Noodles37UK no this is exactly why you can buy the maps, if you buy them you discovered the place, if you dont you have to discover the places yourself

  • @MrPhoenix49 That's right. I've since sussed this out. Don't know why R* did it. May as well have a button that says " press here to complete entire disc and go play something else " lol

  • @mpeterso01 Yeah those treasure maps were a cool idea for an overgrown kid like me. There should've been many more, and in parts. Thanks for your advice.

Ya I'll uplaod a video of me playing with it next Friday

  • The names of the people the treasure belonged to are very similar to names of people important to 19th Century American history.

Rhodes' Gold - General Elisha H. Rhodes

Jackson's Gold - President Andrew Jackson

    Calhoun's Gold - John C. Calhoun

    Tubman's Gold - Harriet Tubman

    Brown's Gold - John Brown

    Douglass' Gold - Frederick Douglass

    Garrison's Gold - William L. Garrison

    Pickett's Gold - George E. Pickett

Stonewall's Gold - General Stonewall Jackson

  • only one problem.......playstation........

  • * Rhodes' Gold - General Elisha H. Rhodes * Jackson's Gold - President Andrew Jackson * Calhoun's Gold - John C. Calhoun * Tubman's Gold - Harriet Tubman * Brown's Gold - John Brown * Douglass' Gold - Frederick Douglass * Garrison's Gold - William L. Garrison * Pickett's Gold - George E. Pickett * Stonewall's Gold - General Stonewall Jackson

  • thanks man, was stuck on this one.

  • What do you use for recording these videos from your ps3?

  • @Thysios i have 1 its a dazzle card ( BEST BUY )

  • Great job & thanks a lot. I had found most, but 2 I had a lot of trouble with. Thanks for the videos!

  • Top game!

  • im stuck at this.....

  • What should I do with the gold???

  • stop complaining its not even that dark, and it shows you on the map were it is so you should be able to figure it out with that

  • real graet place to hide a pice of gold and pice of paper haha

  • i felt down there 1:10

  • the names of the men who owned the gold are all references to civil war generals but none of them were actual generals:

EXAMPLE: 'jeb' - 'JEB Stuart 'pickett' - geprge pickett

  • thanks!

  • thanks alot!!!!

  • Make camp and save til its day then shoot the damn video!!!!

  • I like these videos, but I would suggest you re-shoot some of these when it is day in game. Would be nice to actually see the video as it is difficult when the game is night.

  • So THAT's where it is. Thanks a lot, mate:)

  • @mpeterso01 all these videos on the treasure are sooo good, thanks alot mate (:

  • I can't believe how stupid all of you are. Press "Y" for info on the gold in the inventory screen (triangle i would assume on ps3) and it tells you their full names (Brigadier General Sherman M. Rhodes, Brigadier General Ambrose Jackson Hood, etc.) A quick Google search lets you know the names are fictional.

  • wtf im at that area and the "inspect" thing isnt appearing :(

  • @slfandoz have you done the attack on fort mercer?

or the entire main quest line?

  • @slfandoz yes ive done the attack on fort mercer, its crazy the treasures where it should be,,,,but it doesnt come up "press triangle" so i cant uncover the rocks revealing the chest :( sucks man, even tryed saving it at diferent areas and going back but stillno triangle prompt.

  • @slfandoz did u get the other treasures?

  • @DeAtHlOrD1526 yeah

  • Look for the Aztec Gold dude in...

    Sidewinder Gultch in SW Mexico

  • The treasures are explained by a dude in the game.

If you go to the very bottom middle of the map. There is this Mexican dude that is looking for Aztec gold that his great great grandfather hid. He asks you for your help finding it. The dude is a little bit hard to find, he's in an area where there's kind of a small canyon trail.

  • @millsgraphics I checked and searced I didn't find this guy... ughhh....

  • # 8 is in Beecher's hope

#9 is in a cave found on the cliff at Nekoti Rock

  • Dude, they are all Civil War generals!!! Stonewall - as in Stonewall Jackson!!!!!

  • I fell down the hill with my horse and we both died Lol xD

  • Can you make video's about the outfits please please please..

  • i have a question... what do the treasures represent??

like who are the people...my thinking is probably civil war generals would be the obvious?

  • @Assassin523

Pickett is the only one that stands out as a Civil War general. I would have to give the rest some thought.

  • @mpeterso01

    mexican-American war.

You forgot about the alamo didn't you. You're supposed to remember the Alamo

  • @mpeterso01 They're all influential people in American history. Harriet "Tubman's Gold", Andrew "Jackson's Gold or w/e" They're all jsut famous and influential people throughout history.

  • @mpeterso01 They are actually all fictitious, mostly mixes of Civil war general names, in fact General Jeb Pickett is a mix of J.E.B. Staurt and George Pickett, which were both confederate generals.

  • @mpeterso01

Wasn't Robert A. Stonewall a General of the Confederate Army?

  • @mpeterso01 I think assassin523 might be right. i was looking on your 10th treasure finding thing and saw that it said : Stonewall's gold. Stonewall jackson was a high general in the civil war. Or he was an officer but one of them anyway.

  • @mpeterso01 im not making any money when i get the goldbars wtf

  • @TheNinthPlateau you need to sell the bars

  • @mpeterso01 all of them are generals in the civil war or people relating to the civil war like Stonewall's gold is Stonewall Jackson. Pickett is General Pickett. Lincoln's Gold is abe lincoln. Brown's gold might be John Brown's. The guy who was in charge of John Brown's raid. etc

  • @mpeterso01 Pickett's = Gen. Pickett Brown's = John Brown Tubman's = Harriet Tubman Stonewall's = Gen. Stonewall Jackson Garrison's = William Lloyd Garrison Douglass's = Frederick Douglass Jackson's = President Andrew Jackson Calhoun's = John C. Calhoun Those were the ones that were obvious to me. Rhodes' - Gen. E. Rhodes
  • @mpeterso01 "Stonewall" Jackson - confederate general, last brick

  • @mpeterso01 Stonewall? How do you miss that?

  • @Assassin523 Tubman is definitely not a civil war general.

  • @Assassin523 alot of the people played major roles in the rail road industry

  • @Assassin523

They were all Civil War generals, most of them southern I think

  • @Assassin523 each peice of gold is named like the first on is Rohdes nd the sencond on is jackson those are generals in the civil war. so every gold piece belonged to a civil war general.

  • @Assassin523 the treasures are gold bullion given to civil war generals. The last one for example is Stonewall Jackson's gold.

  • @Assassin523 all of them are generals in the civil war or people relating to the civil war like Stonewall's gold is Stonewall Jackson. Pickett is General Pickett. Lincoln's Gold is abe lincoln. Brown's gold might be John Brown's. The guy who was in charge of John Brown's raid. etc

  • Comment removed

  • I'm having trouble with this one. I found it, but no option to inspect it comes up.

    @Assassin523

theres a list on the red dead wiki of who they represent. Its supposed to be important figures in american history of the time in general I think.

  • @DirtyFrigginHarry u have to go in order

  • @DirtyFrigginHarry u have to go in order of treaure map #'s

  • @Assassin523 All the gold is named for famous people in the late 19th century. Harriet Tubman=Tubman's gold, Frederick Douglass=Douglass's Gold, Stonewall Jackson=Stonewall's Gold, etc. They've just been fictionalized. Not to sure about Calhoun, though. Barney Calhoun, perhaps?

  • @Assassin523 * Rhodes' Gold - General Elisha H. Rhodes * Jackson's Gold - President Andrew Jackson * Calhoun's Gold - John C. Calhoun * Tubman's Gold - Harriet Tubman * Brown's Gold - John Brown * Douglass' Gold - Frederick Douglass * Garrison's Gold - William L. Garrison * Pickett's Gold - George E. Pickett * Stonewall's Gold - General Stonewall Jackson

  • thanks man, how did you find all these?

  • @bizzy420

I have actually for real been sick so I have been to work. I have had some spare time.

  • I would love to see a video showing envirement and weather :) but hey thats probably just me

    5/5 treasure hunting is cool

  • And the #9 (the last one) is in a cave atop a mountain near Nekoti Rock

  • @elvegar Isn't that were Brumas the Bear at?

  • @MrGhostface2011 Yes, it is. So if you're on both Treasure Hunter Rank 10, and Master Hunter Rank 10, you might get a little surprise searching for that gold...

And by "little surprise", I mean an invincible golden fucked-up pissed off grizzly bear.

  • @mpeterso01 :P well 3 AM isnt bright lol try it bewtween 9 AM and about 5 PM then it should be perfect but stil nice to see the treasure hunt for the first time

  • The #8 is in Broken tree, Beecher's hope

  • if possible maybe next time a vid when the sun shines

  • @zorgzima

Sure thing. It was 3AM here. It seemed bright when I recorded it.
