  • how much per machine

  • Not dry, but approximately 10%-15% moisture content

  • does the materila need to be dry before turing it inot pellets?

  • We put the cardboard though a hammer mill to reduce the particle size

  • How are you prepping the cardboard to get it ready for the pellet mill?

  • it's that I have watched a few of these videos about the pelleting machine and then a lot of them making bio char that this looks pretty dense and and looks like it would spread out a lot better instead of having to crush up wood blocks and limbs after it was turned to char, this looks like it would be garden ready after something like that was done with it.oh btw great video and thank you for taking time to respond.

  • hmmmmm, I just had a thought on this but with the compacted size of the pellets and your on a farm have you thought about making some bio char with this process?with all the scrap paper and leaves it seems like it would make a great char for the gardens

  • There are folks experimenting with that. We have not tried that as of yet. Thanks for your comment, someone else may consider doing it now that you have given them the idea!

  • How small do the pieces of material have to be in order to run them through the machine???

  • @jschil01

The material should be sawdust size to 1/4 shavings for wood. If you're pelletizing softer biomass such as hay or grasses, it should be longer in lengths up to 1".
