Highland Park's power plant, smelters and assembly buildings built around 1906-08 were all flattened in 1956 after production ended for the '56 year. The original administration and four story assembly halls, designed by Albert Kahn, still stand. The powerhouse was the love of Henry Ford for years, but it was obsolete by 1921.
Useless! To begin, the original Highland Park factory was demolished in 1956, the interstate system was started 4 decades after the Model T had ceased production, and perhaps you should mention the assembly line process? ie, the reason the Model T was cheap, and thus popular.
