I too expected more from her. Here she is very superficial and her karanas and mudras are very lethargic, lacking the definition of hard years of practice and even a spiritual understanding behind the margi karanas. As for the araimandis, good observations have been made about its absence. I remember seeing Vaijanti Mala performing live, many years ago, and her most perfect araimandis.

I don't see her sitting in "bharata natyam" position except for one time while doing one step. How can you do bharata natyam and your first position is wrong. I've seen her dances and I really like her but this is a basic factor of this style.

I too expected more from her. I don't see her sitting in "bharata natyam" position except for one time while doing one step. How can you do bharata natyam and your first position is wrong. I've seen her dances and I really like her but this is a basic factor of this style.
