I taped my FlyCamOne2 that I use with my RC Heli to the barrel of the marker. It's a nice small, lightweight cam. I should have done something to keep the lens at 90 degrees.
The GoPro is a much better (bigger) POV cam. If I had the cash I'd get one. It was used during the rescue of the miners in Chile.

Looks like you guys had some fun out there.
What did you shoot the barrel cam with...like what type of camera?
I'm looking into something similar, like a Go Pro hero to use on photo trips and I would love to know what you were shooting with.
