In his professional career for liverpool he has played centre back, right back, defensive/centre/attacking midfield, right wing, left wing and striker. He could easily slot into any of those positions at a drop of a hat. So basically you have one player that can play at the highest level nearly every position in a team. Thats priceless ;-)

yeah, that is right, but Gerrard played all kinds of positions in his first 200 apps, like right back, left back, centre back etc... AND he did not have such good players as Ronaldo had around him at his time at Manchester United, and that has a lot to say, Gerrard did not start playing as a second striker until half way into 08/09 season and it was then he started putting goals.

He hardly 'outscored' him, Gerrard even scored more goals per game. Apart from that he had more assits than crybaby this season and is more important for the Liverpool team than Ronaldo is for Man United.
