Well, no matter what you do, you have to shoot the pilot with the sniper... but climbing the building and trying to get the Maverick at the level needed on the library is a lot harder to do and a pain in the ass... Not to mention, the chopper sustains much more damage using the museum.

once it lands on the roof it never stops spinning for me it spins until it falls off and explodes! i have sniped maybe 100 helicopters down and the closest i ever got was one that landed without exploding, but then spun for 60 seconds real time until it somehow worked its way off the roof and exploded.

if you HOLD down the y button the police mavrick wont fly away

get a annihalator then get three stars, then when the a police heli comes shoot at it. after the flaming bodies jump out it will fall to the ground without exploeding. if you kill the pilot then it will exploed. also it could lose the tail or top roter. if you want to know anything else i forgot tell me

that aint easy , iv tryed and failed since u only have a few seconds to fix it and its usualy 2 high when it hits the ground so it blows up

well i remember i was low to the ground and when i did it, it did not explode. I've gotten it twice by this way. go to the airport and flylow to the ground and then start shooting at it. it should work

get an anhiltor then get three stars and when the police heli comes shoot at it and don't shoot the pilot or it will explode. when it hits the ground it should just be on fire but quickly lose the heat and fix the heli and tada got yoself a police heli

if u wan2 keep it try landing it on a property parkin space then use a car to push it in all the way save game reload and it should be in perfect condition and it will never try to fly away on its own again lol
