Domestics break all the time the difference is I can drive my car 12 hours on a highway and still go to the track and compete. SpecialtyZ was running a stock VG (300zx) competing in IDRC running 9.7 on a stock motor driving to the track no trailer . Not to mention a mildly modified IMPORT stil has the record of 265 mph in the mile.

@20BMX5 Not really. That V10 will do it over and over and over for years... long after that plastic/aluminum 3.4L I6 cracks and blows every ring and gasket it has. Have you ever milled a large block V8/10/12? Or tried to do similar things to an import aluminum block 4 or 6 cyl? Those large blocks (iron or alum) are designed to last a LONG LONG time. Thick, reusable, low maintenance, dependable. I can stick black powder in a tin can and any car will have a quick trap.
