  • Personally, I like the Yamaha mm8 a little better than the Motif. Although, the Yamaha mm8 has the same engine as the Motif. Another thing is, to me, the Yamaha mm8 has a more realistic piano sound, but maybe that's just me, idk. But please dont get me wrong, the Motif still might be one of the best keyboards.

  • Motfi always sound great, make any other piano on other workstations sound like blah :)

  • pretty damned good .. but take your foot off the sust pedal once in a while :)

  • because i plug it into my computer and I need a program to sync in order to record, etc.

  • Use MLAN or DIMMs

  • yo bro how much did the motif cost

  • Free

  • @stevenrm87 how did you get a motif for free? every night i dream of owning one of these lol! u play amazingly by the way!

  • @RichyEs

I found a store that's selling one for 2,500. Awesome deal. In fact, best deal I can find anywhere. If I were you I'd save up and try to find one at a local music store.

Good luck finding a good deal too. =P

  • hey did you connect your keyboard to a computer? I bought mine used and it just came with the keyboard (no software, etc).

  • why would it have software????

It's a workstation, why would you need software lol

  • @JohnF30Music The MOTIF comes with steiberg's Cubase Ai4

  • I really enjoyed listening to this. :)

  • LOL :D I got an XS8 myself now.. Will post something ASAP :)

  • Nice keyboard, nice playing :) Try to use your systain a little less, now it's sometimes quite too much
