Why on earth did I not know she could sing?!?!? This is a huge surprise!! I just know her as Callie on Grey's!!! Did she start out in theatre or something?
@Mamacita861 : Yup. She went to Juilliard then did some small bit parts on TV and in film. Meanwhile she was on Broadway in plays and musicals. She even won the 2005 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for Lady of the Lake in Spamalot (she performed live at the Tony's. You can find a video here on YouTube. Song is called "Find Your Grail" ). After she left Spamalot, she joined Grey's Anatomy in the 2nd season. So, so talented (and beautiful), isn't she?
@TJWTNR YES!! She is so striking & beautiful!! And now I find out she can sing her butt off?!? I'm so happy to learn she is a fellow theatre girl!! That just makes me love her even more. I hope she does Broadway again. I would love to see her ( : Thanks 4 the info!
I actually read that she is quoted as saying in an interview that ABC was so impressed with her performance in Spamalot that they offered her a spot on any ABC show, and she chose Grey's because she was a fan. That's an amazing offer, right? So glad she chose Grey's because she's my favorite character on it now.
@TJWTNR It's true...I saw her do an interview where she said that. She also said that before being on the show she loved George O'Malley and just about died when she found out they were writing her in as his potential girlfriend.!
@TheFoxFan...Nope. That's the name of his musical. THIS is a live clip taken from the concert/revue: "The Last 10 Years: The Music of Jason Robert Brown," thus the title in the caption.
@JennFan24 Thanks for the comment, Jenn. Actually, this is a live clip taken from the concert: "The Last 10 Years: The Music of Jason Robert Brown," thus the title, "The Last Ten Years," which is credited on her website. You're right, though, I'll add the 'And.' Thanks again. -Tom
I used Audacity to record it from her website. You can also download it from here --you just need to download the Firefox plugin YouTube to mp3. Hope that helps!

@uncarvedblock89 No kidding! If only we could all be so lucky! Well, she's really talented, so she deserved the opportunity, don't you think?
Yeah, she's my favorite character on Grey's, too. I think it's probably safe to say that she's the best actress on the show.

One of my favorite performances:) She nails it.
However, this song is just called "And I Will Follow." ;) (Jason's musical is actually called "The Last Five Years" as well, haha) x
