  • Agree with you about the voice for Pelleas. I think baritone makes the combination of youthful strength, passion and vulnerability even more touching.

  • As for the performance - agree again that it's beautiful (and should have been filmed!). There's another radio broadcast recording with Allen (and J. Pillou) in which he sings perhaps even more beautifully...[sigh]
